How did the Cubs pull this off? What am I missing? I understand they needed to re-do the trade because Brigham was damaged goods, but Loux appears to be a much better pitcher?noidea

Some of the Rangers fans say he is damaged goods and/or a AAAA pitcher, but you'd think he has a higher ceiling than Brigham and we got another player coming to boot.  Seems pretty one-sided.

Other reason Cubs did is because they traded a guy who needs to be on the 40 man roster for a guy who doesn't. Seems like a very good deal for Cubs.

How in the world is someone able to determine a pitcher is AAAA after just 2 minor league seasons, none of them above AA?
