Lonnie Chisenhall?

Lonnie Chisenhall?

I know we're in need of a 3B, but any idea why the Cubs seem to be pursuing him to the point of giving up prospects for him?  He's young but hasn't shown much in terms of average and/or power in the majors and doesn't walk much either.  Is his glove that good?   Or is just that there's no one else out there...

I've never heard of him.  Cleveland must be shopping him a bit and I doubt he would demand much in return.  Looks like a guy with developing power.

If it is Chisenhall or bringing back Stewart then I would pick Chisenhall that still has some upside. KC is making their 3b available and other options include prospects that are ready from Detroit or San Diego. I'm sure there are more but we'll see how aggressive the front office is in year 2 of the rebuild.

I think if they can work out something for the older prospects (McNutt, Jackson, Vitters, etc.) they might get something done.  If they can get Moustakas or Chisenhall, I'd be giddy.

Moustakas is real good, it would have to take a lot to get him IMO.

If he is the long term solution then he would be worth the prospects you have to give up to acquire. You are not going to get every piece at a below maket price.
