O's GEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

O's GEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I went into the ORIOLES STORE at the YORK GALLERIA MALL in YORK, PA. today and the place was packed with O's fans buying everything ORIOLES off the shelves and racks. They had some neat O's PLAYOFFS T-shirts and caps BUT I didn't see those terrific grey hooded sweatshirts I saw the guys wearing in the dugout last night. Looks like a winning season has brought plenty of O's fans onboard and everyone wants to be wearing O's gear.

Those sweatshirts are 80 clams but they are sweet.

The hats and T's I saw with ORIOLES PLAYOFFS on them were $22 each. Hats were adjustable NOT fitted for that price.

Re: O's GEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I went to the Poor Boys on Old Harford Rd.  They had the Playoff T's and hats.  I wasn't looking for the hoodie, but they might have had it.  All the Playoff stuff was gray.

I ordered two of the Thanks Buck shirts off of thanksbuck.net  I did a google search to find that.  I thought about buying the Buck the Yankees shirt I saw at PoorBoys, but I really wanted that Buck shirt.  I did buy two flags for the porch.wink

Re: O's GEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I went to the store looking for any Oriole sweatshirt, like the Black one's they've been wearing in the dugout. Couldnt find that particular sweatshirt but did see the new grey color sweatshirt and it didnt have 2012 playoffs on it. Nice but im still old school with my pricing, $69.99 when right next to it was Ravens sweatshirts for $39.99 so I passed. Seen a playoff hat but there again here is to hoping 5,10 years from now 2012 isnt the last time the Orioles hit up the playoffs. Hats and sweatshirts can last for years, i have sweatshirts and hats that are 10 or 15 years old if not older.

Adjustable hats are garbage.

I'd love to get one of these...

...but I want it fitted.

If they are going to bring back the adjustable cap in a significant way, they should make it in both styles, so buyers can make their own choice.

RE: O's GEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A couple weeks ago some douche in Target was complaining that they didn't have any Orioles gear.

Well a-hole maybe you should have supported the team from Day One.

I'd rather any of these bandwagon fans just go be Yankee or Red Sox fans. Most of us still supported this team throughout the dark ages.

I'd hate to see any more Yanker or Sux fans around town than we already have.

That Playoffs hat is sweet.  I prefer the adjustable hats, altho I hate the plastic snap ones.  They always seem to break.  I've had a number of the Cooperstown Collection hats with the 1966 and 1983 cartoon bird thru the last 15 years of the ornithologically correct bird.  What I really prefer is the unstructured style.  These were unstructured, but were not adjustable.  They came in s,m,l,xl.  Seems they've traded those out for the new bird with the adjustable belt buckle type back.  I like em.  And I just sounded like a complete woman talking fashion week while shopping at New York and Co. joltin.gif

adjustable hats don't 'look' as cool but sometimes the others just don't ever fit right. I know right now I am sort of in between sizes, where one is just a bit too tight but the next size up looks stupid because its too big.

went to Lids in Winchester VA and the guy told me he couldnt keep this hat in stock, and barely been able to keep up with the orders for it. They did have the nationals hat in stock... he said no one had bought a single one to his knowledge.

I like the fitted because the majority of the time I prefer to wear baseball caps backwards, and with an adjustable cap that looks ridiculous...I just don't wear them.

Nothing beats the comfort of a fitted hat.

Being 64 I see this "look" all the time among younger guys and I simply don't understand. Isn't the visor put on these ball caps to keep the sun out of your eyes? P.S. I love your bulldog pic you use with your ID. and WELCOME to the board!

I wear a cap backwards sometimes to get BETTER use out of the visor.

I have a buzz cut hairstyle, so no hair on my neck at all, thus leaving it exposed to the sun. On a bright sunny day I can put a hat on backwards and the visor keeps the sun off the back of my neck. It sounds stupid, but it works, and I get sun burned a lot less when doing it.

I don't do it as a matter of style. It's mostly when I find myself out in the sun and need to protect my neck because I'm bending down a lot like when I'm doing yard work or something.

This is the truth.

I can't wear those New Era fitted hats. My head is between 2 sizes and neither fits me well.

I have an old hat (talking like 8-9 years old here) that's a replica of the 199 hat (blak front, orange bill, happy bird) that was made by an off brand company with sizes Small Medium and Large. It fits me like a dream! Much better than the official New Era hats.

Only problem is....it's 8-9 years old and it falling apart. I can't wear it in public anymore. But I can't give it up either because it was with me through 2/3 of the losing streak. We've been through too much together, that hat and me. I wore it at my wedding! (Well, at the reception anyway.)

I've also got a Ravens hat that's perfect. Fitted, but with elastic, so it comfort molds right to my mellon. Fantastic! I can't find those kind in Oriole hats though.
