no screwing around....must do well in these 3 games. don't open the door any wider for Toronto.

Amen to that. My wife's brother and his wife will be here in a few minutes to watch the game. They are from central WA and rabid Mariner's fans. Bring on the beer this should be fun.

Glad to see Cruz get a hit, we have missed him.

We need to separate Cruz and Davis. Simply can NOT afford to have 1 and 3 with no out and they both K. flushed  At least JJ comes through!!!

Now that he's an Oriole, is Miller going to unhook that beard from behind his ears and take it off?

Nice bounceback win...despite another very weak day at the plate. But they got enough. Hardy getting it done tonite and Chen (who some here suggested should go to the bullpen) is now 12-3..one win off the league lead. Not that W-L is the perfect measure by any stretch...but 12-3 means your team wins most of your starts.
Would be nice if Toronto would lose tonite.
Davis and Cruz with back to back k's---which almost killed the game winning rally.

Pitching seems to have suddenly come around for the O's. Now they need to match that with some of their offense. Nonetheless...put this one in the bank!!!

Granted the O's have faced some tough pitching since the ASB. But they have only scored 50 runs since coming back and 15 of those were in two games. Need to get some kind of offense rolling. Can't keep hoping the pitchers keep the other team scoring less than 3 runs.

BWWAAAAAAA. Evil Empire lose to the Sawks 4-3. Jeter homers. Now if Houston can somehow beat the Jays. Angels are beating TB as well.

Jays LOSE!! A very good night for the O's as they regain a 2 1/2 game lead and 4 in the loss column!!!

I never understood what the big deal was about playing not being allowed to have beards.

Professionalism ... It is taught in many industries that clean shaven and well groomed is to be expected as a representative of a company or an organization.

Re: Seattle Mariners vs Baltimore Orioles [W-?-?]

Very true. A neatly trimmed beard or goatee is often very acceptable...but not a faceful of hair. If you want to play for the Reds or Yanks, you can't have a beard. If you don't like it, you don't play for them. Its just that simple. They also require that your hair be a 'normal' length. When Randy Johnson came to NY, he got a haircut.
In todays world people just hate being told what to do...they hate being told anything that smacks of rules. As much as I hate the Yankees, I'm OK with this one. Few agree.

I think it's stupid, I recently got hassled at JHU for wearing jeans on a Friday when it wasn't a designated 'jeans day'

Clearly an HR person or manager with too much time on their hands.

Forget the fact I was sitting in my office writing code all day interacting with no-one.

They should just be happy i wear pants at all

...and don't call me Shirley

My only objection is that the beard smelled of Boston.

Lucky he doesn't have any tattoos, I guess.  Ouch!

So all of the division loses last night too, so we're back at 2.5 up.

Many today think any rules are stupid. Bottom line....if they sign the paycheck...you do what they ask. Most the time it isn't unreasonable.cool
