Why is Hunter still on the roster?

Why is Hunter still on the roster?

And if he has to be on the roster for some insane reason why does Buck continue to use him?

He is completely worthless. He can't buy an out. He can't find the strike zone with a map. And he's guaranteed to give up at least 1 run, usually more, every time he waddles to the mound.

He has absolutely ZERO major league value.

And yet Buck just insists on putting him on the mound! Early in the year it was to make winning games into losing games. Now Hunter's function is to make close games into not close games. Why?

Hunt had no business on the mound unless the Orioles are either up or down by at least 10 runs.

And then when he is put in the game and proves, again, that he has no ability to make outs Bucks just leaves him out there! As if the rosin bag is full of pixie dust that it going to magically make Hunter good all of a sudden!

This is a prime example of how Buck is not a good in game manager.

Continuing examples of why you don't overpay for supposed 'closers'--ever. They come and go like the winter snows. Look at Johnson in Oakland this year. Simply awful...and thankfully the O's saw it coming and weren't fooled by the 50 'saves'. Hunter really has lost the bubble this season. His 'saves' were pretty meaningless.
