Better hope the bats really come on strong and we somehow find some SP or this will not be a good weekend.

Oakland and SF probably two of the best teams in MLB right now (Toronto belongs there too). O's are going to have to play much better to get wins from a team they usually don't stack up well against.

Last night they said Chen has a good record against Oakland. Haven't checked it out, just taking their word.

We can win this game! We didn't fall on our knees when Oakland took the field. Bottom of the 5th, tied 2-2 and we are out hitting them.

Why did they send Nick? Ball was not that deep and hit really hard. What the heck is wrong with bases loaded and one out and Davis coming up?

I don't understand sending Markakis there.

It's just bad baseball, yet again, by the third base coach.

It's not a deep hit by Jones. So there's a 50-50 chance at best that the runner is going to be safe at home.

But if Markakis holds at third you have the winning run at third with 1 out and an extreme power hitting Chris Davis at the plate. That SCREAMS sac fly to win it and the odds HAVE to be better with that scenario than sending Markakis home.

Just more fundamentally bad baseball.

Re: Oakland Athletics vs Baltimore Orioles [?-?-?]

I thought sending Markakis when the ball was barely out of the infield was dumb.

BUT STEALING HOME?! ARE YOU BEYOND STUPID?!

Whatever idiot decided to pull that stunt should be fired immediately because he is a complete moron who has no business in major league baseball.

I guarantee it wasn't Cruz's idea because 1), HE'S THE SLOWEST RUNNER ON THE TEAM!!!!! 2) He looked pissed off that he had to try that idiotic stunt 3) He doesn't suck at life

I mean I've seen dumb baseball, but that took the taco.

I quit. Screw this game. Screw the morons they have coaching it. I've got better things to do with my life than watching idiot coaches who shouldn't be coaching t ball screwing up major league wins and turning them into guarenteed losses.

They no longer deserve to win. What a BONEHEAD inning. Amazing how the O's just pissed away two chances to win this game. Only consolation is that Davis was probably going to strike out...but trying to steal home after already having a runner tossed at the plate?

dumb dumb dumb.....watch Oakland score about 5 in this inning now.

ah--here we go...leadoff double. You squander that silver platter chance to win and you deserve to lose. What a mess.

I don't care if that was the manager's idea or the base coach's idea. Whoever thought that idiocy up should be banned by the commissioner for being too dumb to be employed by the league.

That was, by far, the dumbest play I've seen all year.

And what the hell is wrong with Hardy all of a sudden? Oh, I'll tell you what, it's the curse of screwing up the game! Happens every time. You do something fundamentally stupid that blows the win, and your team WILL fall apart the next inning every time. happens every single time.

I'm beyond mad. I'm just dumbfounded that anyone could be that stupid to try and steal home with the slowest guy on the team. Cruz would be totally justified if he had just said 'No. I'm not doing it. go eff yourself."

I can't wait to hear Buck spin this in the post game show.

"Well we were being aggressive. We thought that was the right move. i'd do it again. If you wouldn't have then you don't know baseball."

It's just time to move on from him. He WAY overthinks things. He is a great manager for changing a clubhouse atmosphere, but he is a horrendously bad in game tactician.
