Lets sweep the Zambino drivers and end any fanciful dreams they have of climbing back into the race in this division.

Just 12 pitches in the first inning for Tillman, good start.

Number 35 for Davis, score tied 2-2. I was hoping he would match his HR production last year ( 33 ) by the All Star Game!

Well both pitchers had some trouble in the second....double and 2 run homers.  Tillman looks like the usual. Good stuff but going to throw some pitches. Hope we can get to Buerhle and get him out of the game and work their bullpen!

Holy smokes. Adam  swung four times. All four pitches were balls. But...

the last swing was a Phil Mickelson special.......GONE!

Tillman on 89 pitches through 5. O's need to work the count this inning and give Chris a breather so he can go 6.

The Orioles need a grand slam and a soloshot so they can say they homered for the cycle.

I dream of 1966, 1970, and 1983. I would also take 1969, 1971, and 1979. But 1973, 1974, 1996, 1997, and 2012 were okay. Toss in 1960, 1968, 1975, 1976, 1977, 1980, 1981, 1982, 1989, and 1994 too.

RE: Baltimore Orioles vs Toronto Blue Jays [?-?-?]

Hunter made it a bit shaky in the 9th and JJ had to come in to get the last out in the 8-5 win. But a good win to break our losing streak against the Jays. Our big 3 power hitters all go deep...JJ, Adam and Chris. Tillman with his 11th win and on track for a possible 20 win season. TB loses to Houston...an unexpected gift. Twins losing to Yanks....figures. Boston and Oakland later. Would be nice to gain ground on them. Huge crowd at OPACY tonite.
Just like the good old days when the park first opened.

That was an awesome throw!  I haven't seen it on the wrap-up shows tho.  I thought it was better play and throw than whoever threw out Vernon Wells going into third last night.

edit... The Adam Jones throw wasn't on any of the sports shows, but here it is.  Came with one out and the Orioles up by 2.

It's been on SportsCenter all morning....it was the #4 top play.

Your bias is clearly showing if you think it was more impressive than the play at 3rd though...that was a rope and likely the top throw of the season, unless a RF manages to hose someone from the RF corner.

Re: Baltimore Orioles vs Toronto Blue Jays [W-?-?]

Just got done watching the US soccer game. Turned on the O's to see them leading 3-2 in the top of the 6th with 2 outs and nobody on. Guess its my fault. Four straight hits and now we are losing 4-3. Come on get the bats going.

Well when you get pinch hit for by Flaherty you know you are not having the best game. And RF comes through!

Re: Baltimore Orioles vs Toronto Blue Jays [W-?-?]

Pretty ugly game - I'd complain about the bullpen management but with the AS Game coming up it won't be a big issue.

Still seems like McFarland could have just pitched 2-3 innings and saved us from using the other guys
