AND ... WE'RE BACK AT SCOUT
It appears we'll be staying at Scout for a bit longer. Here's the message we received last night:
"We have made the decision to make the Scout.com site available starting later tonight. We plan to start making DNS and other configuration changes around 11 p.m. ET. We remain committed to the launch of FOXSportsNEXT.com and will work with you to develop a phased launch plan that works for everyone after all of the technical issues are addressed. We will work closely with many of you to make sure we have the best product possible."
This is a good thing. If and when they make they do finally make the switch, it should be much better.
Again, I apologize for the last four days. I know it was frustrating for everyone.
Now back to Bears football!

I get what they want to do with the new boards, but they looked horrible. Everything was spaced out twice as big as these boards making it very unfriendly to navigate.

No more ***bleep*** for normal words? No more getting work done while waiting for the page to load? No more wearing sunglasses to read the posts? No more practice typing my password? Darn, just when I was getting used to it all....

Well, it's certainly reassuring that at least SOMEONE out there called a turd a turd.
I am very thankful the POS site is gone and I can resume making inconsequential, inane comments tangentially-related to the Chicago Bears.

I think it's the right move. Glad to be back in familiar territory.

Now back to Bears football! So why did this new board come about during the season again?? I think it's great that there trying to make things better, who ever there is, but why didn't they start the beta testing during the off season? With it being a beta, the bugs could of been worked out with the backing of scout posters. Why not just start off with it being a beta now, and move over when most of the bugs are worked out. Seems like a better idea than a lynch mob mentality and maybe keeping a majority of posters who pay for services. There's probably a good # of posters who wouldn't mind helping out with a back ground in this stuff, for a cleaner switch when ready. Just spittin here....

Yeah, next time, don't change over during the NFL season. Maybe during June-July-early August when it's baseball season & it's not during the pennant race or during the playoffs which just started on Friday! Maybe a longer beta span & privately ask people a few posters to test it out & help before a huge launch? And please, "no high 5's", we're not David Puddy "Wut? High five!" "1st down! High five!" "Oh man, penalty?? You gotta be kidding me! High five!"

I can post again. Brett was able to post when I couldn't even get on the new board.

I understand that white space has it's uses in design... but that was just too much for me. Didn't appreciate the layout too much.

Re: AND ... WE'RE BACK AT SCOUT
Thank God. Is there any way that we could make a list of our problems and get that passed along to the powers that be? I mean, if they want people to keep posting there, there is A LOT they need to clean up. They should listen to some constructive criticism from the long time posters.
