Percy Harvin for MVP?
http://espn.go.com/blog/nfcnor...nd-the-mvp-raceYou know, we've ripped this guy many times the past few years and have always taken shots at him. But im glad this guy is finally getting recognition for everything he does for the Vikings. At the rate he's going, he's on Pace for 4TDs this season. Considering he returns kicks, catches passes and is used out of the backfield, thats damn impressive. How can this guy not be MVP?

Re: Percy Harvin for MVP?
It's impressive to be on pace to get 4 Td's this season. It's a shame he wanted to be traded this offseason considering how many offensive TD's he's racked up under Ponder so far this season. I am glad to see Kevin Seifert has quit being a homer and finally started to recognize the true talent in the NFC North. It's awesome that an offensive and special teams player could be on pace to score as many Td's as Major Wright, Lance Briggs and Charles Tillman. So hers to Harvin, MVP candidate! --------------------------------------------- --- Anytime23 wrote: espn.go.com/blog/nfcnor...nd-the-mvp-raceYou know, we've ripped this guy many times the past few years and have always taken shots at him. How can this guy not be MVP? LOL, well 4TDs from catching the ball from Dink and Dunk Ponder would be impressive. I think he will have to earn them all from ST play. And unfortunately for him they only play the lions once more. Hopefully he won't have a migraine or cramps when they play the lions.

RE: Percy Harvin for MVP?
IMHO, there should only be two MVP candidates in the NFCN and both are on defense.
Tim Jennings and Clay Matthews Jr.

In related news, Ponder was limited in practice. It's unconfirmed if this is based on health or talent... Stay tuned. www.startribune.com/sports/vik.../172540911.html--------------------------------------------- --- TexasBearsFan wrote: Northsiders wrote: It's awesome that an offensive and special teams player could be on pace to score as many Td's as Major Wright, Lance Briggs and Charles Tillman. RE: Percy Harvin for MVP?
Kevin Seifert disagrees. In his unbiased and journalistic opinion, Kyle Rudolph is the only other player that's even close.

Re: Percy Harvin for MVP?
Thank Anytime23 for setting this up. He fed this to me and I ran with it like Toby Gerharts 59 total yds this season.... --------------------------------------------- --- TexasBearsFan wrote: Northsiders wrote: In related news, Ponder was limited in practice. Sadly I can't view it.
Hopefully this big scout change will lift my ban for calling someone Bart Simpson.

RE: Percy Harvin for MVP?
In the receiving game alone the man has it all....
30 catches! (3rd in the NFL) 299 yds (19th in the NFL) 10 yd avg (wasn't in the top 80 so gave up looking) 1 td. (Tied for 45th with 83 other players)
Those numbers definitely make him the frontrunner after the first quarter of the season for MVP!

When I first looked at this thread, I thought to myself "these guys don't know what they're talking about, Percy Harvin isn't even that good". But after seeing the numbers, Anytime23 and Northsiders are right, you might as well give him the MVP now.
