FIRE RON TURNER & Harry "No Balls" Heinstand!

If all the Bear fans can see the need for change on the OL yet Ron Turner & Harry can't then why shouldn't Lovie hold them accountable and fire them this week?

After re-watching the game these two knuckleheads should be immediately fired...how can they "hope" for the offense to come together when Turner and Harry continue to make the same dumb mistakes:

1.  Keep Olsen in for blocking - WTF?  The guy gets crushed and pushed back more than Frank Omiyale.

2.  Afraid of major change - They bench Omiyale and forget about the tackle position...bench Pace now and move Chris Williams back to natural position - I could care less if Shaeffer or Omiyale play RT because it honestly can't get any worse...seriously - if every fan can see this what are they waiting for?

3.  Stop the play action fake - the only one Turner is faking is himself...we have no running game so why are they doing this???  Cutler is getting killed back there...

4.  More shotgun - The reason Turner doesn't call more shotgun is because Kreutz can't hike the ball then bench him as well and slide Beekman over there but Cutler is a shotgun passer.

5.  Hurry up?  Cleveland's DC Ryan was playing games with Ron Turner and if he was smart he would have called a hurry up offense to trump their butts since they were scrambling around for first few seconds but if Cutler hurries up that forces them to stop that crap..again...another coaching error.

6.  Deep Ball & Holding onto Ball:  Cutler needs to get rid of the ball faster -period - he caused a couple of the sacks by not reading the defense right and hitting hot read but I think Ron Turner could help by calling a deep slant or pass to Hester or Olsen early - this is of course Cutler strength.

7.  3rd and 7 - Ron Turner calls a WR and TE quick slant or Curl for 5 yards...end result..4th and 2 - WTF?  This is all too common and he needs give the offense a chance with the play calling.

8.  Creativity - the one Wildcat call near goaline was so predictable NIU's defense would have stopped Hester too...how about putting Hester at QB, Wolfe and knox starting as RB's and then use some motion along with adding in Olsen and Forte...something not so predictable.

9. Get Hester the damn ball - did anyone notice when Hester gets going the ST's and offense opens up and the Bears become less predictable...get the first 10 plays down and get Hester involved early and often..RB, WR, and QB - he is a game changer and with Cutler should be used much more...if DC want to blanket cover Olsen then throw to Hester every time...I'll take my chances.

10.  Last but certainly not least..TELL HARRY AND RON TO LIGHT A FIRE ON THE DAMN OL AND GET SOMEONE PISSED OFF - first and goal from the 1 yard line and this OL can't block for a running TD - didn't we see this last year against the vikes on the road - bench the softies (Pace) and get this OL pissed off..Kruetz is on his last legs but at least he plays mean..

If I were Lovie I would see if Shanahan wouldn't mind doing a consultant gig since it wouldn't cost him the jack the Broncos are still paying him and he could help Ron Turner and Harry with this offensive mess because this is clearly inexcusable!

Because 90% of his posts come from other writers and he tries to pass off his statements as his own. And, I'm not really concerned if you like it or not.

Why Hasn't Ron Turner thought of Daniel Manning on Offense?

Think about it...whenver this guy gets the rock in his hands he literally turns into unstoppable, incredible, fast and furious weapon of mass destruction...

Why not feature this guy on offense a few times to give DC's something to worry about...throw in Hester and Wolfe and Olsen and you could come up with something unique....

Come on Turner!

Anytime someone mentions cutting and pasting it only means I am putting down some pretty damn good information and view points so I take it as a compliment...I didn't see anyone's question if one was asked but I love the sport and the team and have a passion for the Bears...take it or leave it but please stop the non sense of copywriting - not my style and this information is soley courtesy of Preppy H baby!

Weird man.

I agree that he's a playmaker with the ball, but assuming players who've never played a position before can turn out to be even decent at a pro level learning it for the first time does not go well for this franchise.  noidea

kind of an interesting idea. It could work on a screen or something. Either way, it just shows that we have play makers but we have no creativity to use it. or use it effectively. why is it that our screen passes blow balls. Then we watch the eagles, and they are like the king of them.

IS GAY FOR JAY!!!!!

He should have been gone after last season.

Turner, who signed a one-year extension through 2010 during the offseason, was exasperated after the victory.

Sigh. D. Manning on offense? Let's see...he is not very good on deffense but what the hell..let's stick him on offense even though SPEED is not what we are missing there. The dumbness on this board is getting out of control!

Re: Why Hasn't Ron Turner thought of Daniel Manning on Offense?

Go take your meds, preph.

Manning needs to spend every practice minute working on his defensive skills.  If the team starts decreasing that time to try and teach him how to do all the things that offensive players need to know and execute perfectly in the NFL, then he's going to suck even worse at his regular position.

After moving Manning to offense we can put Gould in as center and Tillman in as RT with Kreutz moving to safety and Pace taking Gould's place as kicker.  Makes about as much sense as your suggestion.   bangheadbangheadbangheadbanghead

Yesterday is history. Today is fact. Tomorrow is to be prepared for.

Watch when Manning runs with the ball and the closet player he reminds me of is Adrian Peterson - just runs with a pitbull mentality - something I wish our OL and Forte played with....

I think Lovie finds a way to make this happen at some point...

RE: FIRE RON TURNER & Harry "No Balls"

The hard part here is everyone needs to remember Ron Turner was the OC when the Bears made the Super Bowl in 2006 but we all know it wasn't because of Turner as much as we were able to run the ball and our defense was unreal until Tommie Harris got injured against MN in the December cold game - from that point forward the defense has never been the same!

I blame the O-line coach, and by extension, the O-coordintator as well.  However, I think both those guys did a better job last year with less talent to choose from.

I don't know what they can do to improve this mess up front, but until they do, we are just looking at draft picks and free agents for 2010.

Re: Why Hasn't Ron Turner thought of Daniel Manning on Offense?

He is one of those players on the Bears who are more athlete than football player.  He came in and played on defense and it took him a few years to even understand the position.  They put him in as the return guy and he led the league and was dominant at that position.

He would struggle on offense.
