Preseason Game 3 Discussion Thread - Bears @ Seahawks - 9 PM CT

On NFLN and local.   For some annoying reason, NFLN has decided to not air the first hour.  Such is life.

Anyway, on to the football.  The third preseason game is considered the closest to a real regular season game of the four, and for this the Bears get the difficult test of facing the defending champion Seahawks on the road.

This should be a good test of where our team is at on both sides of the football.  I'd like to see our LB group continue to build up some confidence, and a good pass rush against the shifty Russell Wilson would be nice to see as well.

If the offense can move the ball on Seattle's defense, then we know they should be in fine shape heading into the year.  It will be interesting to see if new addition Santonio Holmes has anything left in the tank.

Hopefully the person returning punts and kickoffs tonight can be not terrible, unlike the recently departed Eric Weems.

Of course, the most important thing I want to see tonight is NO INJURIES.

Should be a good one.

I listened to an interview with a Seahawk broadcaster who came right out and said the Seahawks have no respect for the Bears.  They consider the Bears a second tier team.  And they also consider Cutler 3rd rate.

If the officials actually call the Seahawks the way they have been tossing flags during the preseason for illegal contact then the Hawks secondary is screwed.  But I believe they will get a "Packer pass" and what is called on all other teams will not be called on them because of their rep.  Will be an interesting thing to watch tonight.

NFLN can't televise until the GB-OAK game on CBS finishes. Given that game just now made it to the 2nd Q, you might not see the Bears until their game is in the 4th Q.

This is funny.  Watching the Raiders/Packers game and it is 3rd down for the Packers.  Raiders seemingly stop the Packers on 3rd down.  Suddenly you see the yellow flag come out.  Unneccasary roughness...personal foul against the Raiders.  What does the replay show?  Shows a packer lineman ripping off the helmet off of the Raiders94 and then throwing him to the ground with a horsecollar.  Even the announcers were speechless.

Anyone that claims certian teams do not get favorable calls and certian teams get unfavorable calls are living in a dream world.

Santonio Holmes is dressed, we should get a good look at him tonight.

No Jared Allen.  Hope we can get to Russell Wilson a time or two.

Jeez, Gould has to push Percy Harvin out of bounds. Not a great start for the special teams.

The only time I noticed him was when he got man handled to the ground. Maybe a hold but he went down so easy it will never get called.

Is it ok yet to say we won't crack the top 20 on D? Or should I go with the top 10 crowd? Lol

Ehhhh im still saying its pre-season. Remember Ranses Barden schooling Tillman a couple years ago, only for him to go on to being an all-pro and the Bears D being elite?

I think the defense will be solid. I'll take it after last year.
