GB secondary

GB secondary

Been watching the GB/Rams today.  Sam Shields burned multiple times. Bradford finally keyed on him. HH C-D only seems to take up space so far.
Peppers made a couple good plays, but as usual takes every other play off.
Rodgers looked sharp, and his O-line gave plenty of time to do so. Lacy also looked good in limited action.

Peckers sputtered after AR left, as expected.

Re: GB secondary

I admit I did chuckle when the announcers said Ha Ha as a rams receiver torched Clinton-Dix

Re: GB secondary

I keep thinking that the Bears made a mistake picking Fuller over Calvin Pryor (a major position of need).  I watched that kid for a couple years at Louisville and he will be a star in the NFL, in my opinion.

I liked Pryor as the top S.  But I thought Fuller and Dennard were better players overall.  It will be interesting to see how it plays out with the top 5 DB's as the ratings by the experts were all over the place.  Next year CB will be a major need.

Re: GB secondary

I'm down here in arizona, and they are raving abbout the safety from wash st. He really climbed the board late, and I knew he wouldn't last till 2nd, but I know bears were high on him. I think he will end up being a stud with an intimidation factor. Just too high to take a safety for the bears.

Leave it to Packer fans to come trolling...in mid August. Add another name to the ignore list I guess.

Anyone ever tell you there is a difference between coming to a rivals board and talking football and coming to a rivals board and just being a total tool?  Guess which one you are?

Re: GB secondary

The few packers fans that come here generally talk some pretty good football.

He sounds more like a closet vikings fan.

But hey, don't get me started on vikings and closets....

Re: GB secondary

Fans from other boards are welcome to come here and talk football. If you're coming here to troll, you will be banned. Right now you're walking a fine line Lacy.

Last year we let things go a little too far. Remember the invasion of Lions fans when they were in first place? That isn't going to happen this year.

Re: GB secondary

They're now yakking it up beyond the Cheddar Curtain about cutting/benching/trading Morgan Burnett.
That would leave them with the untested ( mostly ) trio of Micah Hyde, HaHa, and Sean Richardson ...along with Chris Banjo, Charles Clay, and rookie Tanner Miller.

HEY ! Maybe we could trade Conte for a bunch of blister packs of brats ...preferably Usinger's !!!
( I know...too cruel. )

OK,         the brats and six cases of Leinekugel !

Re: GB secondary

I believe the point of this (at least in part) is that a lot of us Bears fans wanted to draft Ha Ha.
I was among them.
I  wanted Pryor more, but Ha Ha was my 2nd choice, and when they took Fuller, I was all WTF?????????
But that's why I'm a fan and not a GM.
It seems that in general Emery is doing a fantastic job. Yes the McClellon pick is iffy at BEST, but bringing in Marshall, drafting Jeffrey, fixing the o-line last year, and now the D-line. I am learning to just trust in Emery.
Nobody hits 100%, but he's doing a heck of a job, IMO.

Well put, and I agree whole heartedly.
