Packers coach: "Let's bomb Chicago"

Offseason is slow, that's a given.  Hey at least training camp starts this week.  Anyways, here's the scoop on what that inbred fat tub of goo said about Chicago:

LET'S BOMB CHICAGO

I wonder if they had to butter his hips to get him through the cockpit door.

Mind you, I know he was joking.  I'm just kinda bored.  tongue

Coach of the Piss N' Mold....or Private Pyle from Full Metal Jacket?

We can say: '***' on this board, right?  He's an ***.
I'd even add the words: 'dumb', 'fat' or 'bag' either before or after the *** phrase.

He does realize that if it weren't for Chicagoans keeping their economy alive every weekend during the summer, the entire state of Wisconsin would be bankrupt in about what...6 months if that? noidea

Meh.  Whatever.  I'm not really bothered by it.

Still, one would think someone could find better things to say than crass jokes when honoring a veteran.

You're just making crass remarks about him because you're a meatball fan that can't accept his superiority and the fact that he's going to annihilate the bears again this year.

Ignore.

Good thing grandpa didn't fly a P-51, I'd love to see McCarthy try to squeeze into one of those.

Would require extended range fuel tanks too. To get one time around the pattern.

The kankakee isn't bad in parts, esp. by the state park. The Hennepin canal.  lots of places in illinois without funding the cheeseheads who call us FIBs.

true story. as in it really honestly happened....  Driving home from a vacation in Canada about 35 years ago, and it's really foggy. Like can't go over 25 - 30 mph fog. So of course after a day in that I got tired. It's like 2 am, and I see a sign for a state park. So I exit and drive. And turn. and drive. and turn. and drive. and turn. finally, like 20 mile or more out of the way, I get to the SP. Never had a sign saying how far it was. So I set up the tent, hit the john and clean up a bit, then hit the sleeping bag. 10 minutes later... "Knock knock". (I think WTF????) "knock knock". (me: hello) "It's the ranger". (is anything wrong?) "No, I just need to collect fees" (What? at 3 am?) "Yessir". (how much?) " I need $20 camping, $5 entrance and $10 day use". (Day use? It's 3 am, and I'm only staying a couple hours to rest up before driving some more.) "Rules is rules"  (Look, I'm tired, I've been driving all day I just need a little sleep. Can we take care of this in the morning?) No. I need to collect the money now." (You know what, I'm not paying a day use fee for a couple hours sleep at night, and you're camping fee is way too expensive.) "well, then pack up and leave right now"

So I did. Got home at noon the next day, absolutely dead tired. Thank you Wisconsin. For comparison, camping in Illinois was like $5 then. In total. No day use, no entrance fees.

Oh and three's the two speeding tickets I got in Wisconsin on other trips through. Both in a 55 MPH zone. One for 57 and one for 56. 1 and 2 over the limit. I had Illinois plates. They must act like kick me notes on your backside.

F wisconsin. avoid it like the plague it is.

Canoeing on the Chicago River is nice too. The architecture is pretty cool to look at.

Did a trip down the lower wisc. last weekend, Wauzeka to Wyalusing on the Mississippi. Camped on a sandbar. Saw maybe 4 other boats along the way, can,t do that on the Chicago or the Fox. Did the Mecan a while back, saw 0 other people, that is what I want. The Hennepin Canal is kinda cool, I am always looking for good trips so let em fly. Any good clubs in northern Illinois?

yes, cheese prices would skyrocket. Instead of grilled cheese we would all have to eat grilled peanut butter sandwiches. frown

Try Nippersink Canoe Base   Solon Springs, Spring Grove to Nippersink Lake. Near Fox Lake.

What do you think of driving through the rural road system in Wisconsin (letters instead of names)?  If you travel without GPS, you better be good with maps because that letter system sucks.

Re: Packers coach: "Let's bomb Chicago"

If you really want a nice leisurely trip down a river in Wisconsin, nothing beats either the Eau Claire (Taylor County, 40 miles to Eau Claire, where it joins the Chippewa), with a short waterfall portage around a couple dams & Big Falls County Park, where you can enjoy butt-rapids and sitting under the waterfall. Lots of chickys around the Falls, too, all summer.
I've done this one in 2 days, pushing it, but could have easily spent 4 on it..

Turtle- Flambeau- Chippewa flowage is a killer trip that runs from Park Falls or Lugerville (2 upper forks on both of these trips) down to Bruce- before it joins the Chippewa at Flatter's Resort just a few miles upstream from the Holcome dam.
(Used to have a cottage on Deer Creek, the first tributary below the join of the Flambeau and Chippewa.)

Sandbar city all day and no camping fees or wardens at night -  in fact you may encounter more deer than people down the entire length of either of those rivers, except when approaching populated areas.
The Turtle-Flambeau is noted throughout the midwest for it's sandbar camping and lack of tributary roads or signs of civilization while providing some of the best Muskie/Northern/Walleye/Smallmouth fishing in the northern part of Wisconsin.
A full-length ride can take up to a week and one COULD continue downstream all the way to the Mississippi.

If skinny dipping and nude canoeing is on yer agenda, those 2 trips are perfect for it.
