Well....it might happen. Or maybe it won't. Well, actually it might. Or maybe not. Yeah it might, actually no.

I really hope they go through with it. Wouldn't that be hillarious if his number were retired to smattering of boos (with Arron Rogers on the sideline trying not to laugh).

Does his number have to retire four times like he did?

Favre is the truth. I say the Bears retire his # and throw a big ceremony for him.

Re: LOL! (Brett Favre)

Question for the board.
Who was the best QB to ever play in Soldiers Field for more than 1 decade?

Favre played 36 games against CHI
He went (13-3) in Chicago, while with GB
He went (0-2) in CHI, while with MIN.
Career (13-5) in Soldiers Field (72.22%)

(10-8) on his own home fields.) (55.56%)
(23-13 = 63.89% lifetime, against CHI.)

Is there another QB, (CHI or otherwise), with a better winning percentage IN Soldiers Field?

ANSWER:
Though he only played in CHI for 7 years, Jim McMahon won 29 of 36 regular season games in CHI, and went (4-2) in playoff games there.
(33-9) career in Soldiers Field. (78.57%)
Jay Cutler is currently (23-14) in Soldiers Field. (62.16%.)
FACTOID: Joe Montana, Dan Marino, & John Elway each won only 1 game there.

Brett Favre owned shitty Bears teams. Cool. This is right there with your post about Lacys stats vs Chicago last year=future greatness.

Re: LOL! (Brett Favre)

All jokes aside, Packers fans really should set aside the acrimony and let him come back and get his jersey retired.  Yes the split from the team was ugly, but the guy gave made them a dominant team for over a decade and is on his way to the HOF.  But that's the problem with people; they only look at one part of something and ignore the rest.  Is going to the Jets and Vikings all Packers fans choose to remember about him?  If so, then that's pretty sad.

And the fact that he had to have his own locker room.
