That's right peeps!!  This is my 10,000th post on this message board.  I'd like to take a look back at some of the topics and posters that helped me get to where I'm at today. 

Cue the fireworks!!



Arguing 99+ pages about Kyle Orton's suckyness as an NFL QB, and how he'll never be anything more than a backup and career journeyman (currently a backup and with his 4th NFL team), with the great heslinga22, dingo72 and also the man, the myth, the legend Danzilla, really aided my post numbers.  The good ol' days!!!



The Sons of Baldwin!!  Oh how I miss when that forum was active.  Without all of the political nonsense that has taken over and when all of the SOB's were key contributors to this message board.  What a bunch of funny and just all around great dudes!!!  COME BACK!!!  Good ol' G-Ball!!! 



I've grown on this very board.....I was married in 2009 (actual cake topper, LOL):



I've also become a father of a beautiful baby girl (2011...not an actual picture, just thought it was funny LOL):



No appreciation thread would be complete without a HUGE thank you, to all of the Vikings trolls that used to (and still do somewhat) frequent this message board and subsequently aided in getting the smack forum shutdown.  Can't really say that I miss any of those tools, but I can't leave them out. 




I've been posting on this board since January of 2008 and over that span the Chicago Bears have gone 45-35...they've also fielded one of the worst offenses in the league each season and gave up over 200 sacks, behind THE WORST offensive line in football.  They have also gone through THREE (3) OC's over that span (Turner, Martz, Tice) and I've disliked each of them from the day they were hired...especially Martz and Tice!!!  Here's a little search back in history...

But there is hope...New HC, Marc Trestman.  I'll be the first to admit that I really questioned this hire.  But the more I read about the guy, the more I like him and think he's going to do well in Chicago and be great for the offense-challenged Chicago Bears.  I'm making my first bold prediction of the year...that Marc Trestman WILL WIN COACH OF THE YEAR FOR THE 2013 SEASON!! 



So there you have it Bears fans!!  My 10,000th post.  I hope that you all enjoy my posts, mocks and debates with me.  And I really hope that I am able to make some of you laugh once in a great while.  I enjoy posting on this board and I can honestly say that I enjoy each and every single one of your posts on this board (now that we weeded out a couple douches, that is, LOL).  I look forward to talking about the beloved Chicago Bears with you all for years to come.

Weren't you one of those guys that couldn't seem to sit down and write a 500 word essay in High School?   Had to be the teachers fault.  Always some topic about world peace instead of Da Bears, I bet.

Well, congrats to you Bears247.  And as you list it, it's as I remember -- you've been fighting off the kool-aid and the kool-aid pushers for a few years now.   And I don't see myself disagreeing very often. 

I don't think I'll ever catch your number.  Especially with this current coaching staff and GM.  My posts will be scarce, because it's just the same discussion all over again.  Nobody has seemed to have learned anything after the Martz era. 

I believe your first impression is the correct one about Trestman.  He'll have you singing Gentille Alouette instead of Bear Down.  And a GM that plays Madden for clues on his next draft pick that couldn't "cultivate" an offensive line different than the year before. 

Keep on with the good fight B247.  I may not always chime in, but I read your posts!

Thanks man! I wish I could get some ice-fishing done these days, but my wife keeps me pretty busy in my downtime in the winter...always has me doing something that she can complain about 5 minutes later. Last weekend, it was hanging different picture frames and she decided to change the theme of our kitchen, which resulted in me saying, "omg...it's even! I measured the damn thing 5 times!!" Which then turned into her saying, "why are you so pissed off? It just doesn't look right is all I'm saying." Lmao. Women!

In the summer time though, that's when I get a ton of fishing done and she doesn't bother me, since I head out to the fishing holes at 4 or 5 in the morning and get back by noon. Still gives me time to get the "honey-do" list done. This summer I'm going to start taking my two year old daughter out with me. Already bought her a little cheap Minny Mouse fishing pole lol.

Get her "Hooked" at a early age and you will have a fishing partner for life 
Bring fish home for dinner and the wife has no reason to complain
