Chiefs cut TE Boss and WR Breaston

Chiefs cut WR Steve Breaston and TE Kevin Boss

2 Positions of need, they got the Emery KC Connection. Any takers?

I would look at Boss for sure.

Breaston has the long speed Trestman covets. But our cap is kind of tight.

Always saw Boss as just a guy receiver wise. Is he any good at blocking?  Not really interested.  Breaston would be interesting at the right price.

Breaston killed it in the slot with Boldin & Fitz in AZ....  He'd be an upgrade in my opinion over our 4th & 5th WR's...

I think I would pass on both. But if I had to choose one, I think I would go with Boss. He isn't a bad TE, and definately better than the crap we have now.

I'm not sure what Breaston's cap implications are (can't imagine they are much?), but I totally agree Gibby. In terms of who has been cut recently, he's the only guy that really piqued my interested.

I don't know what's not to like... He's not crazy old. He's been a solid, solid performer outside of last season. And seriously, Romeo Crenell is a moron. He basically benched a baseline 50+ catch/ 700+ yard plus performer for... what?

At a minimum, he can certainly compete against Earl Bennett and push Alshon.

Boss has a history of concussions, That is why he was released.

Breaston doesn't necessarily excite me, but it's not an immediate no either. 4 straight 700+ yard seasons is nothing to sneeze at from a 3rd or 4th receiver type. Bennett and Hester have 2 of those combined. If last year was an abberation and he just needs to get out of KC, he could be a sneaky good pickup.

I would take breaston and boss for the right money. That is assuming both are healthy and Hester or weems are leaving.

I remember Breaston being good (alright?) in Arizona.  I'd take him for the right price.  Could be a good pickup, could be no impact.

Amazing analysis on my part!  But I wanted to chime in.
