I would for the right price. It's our biggest weakness so we need big improvement.

No. I want to be better than the peckers. We don't best them by taking their cast-offs.

I would absolutely sign him. Tons of untapped potential and we might be able to get him at a bargain price (considering what he might produce in an offense more geared towards him). Him and Jared Cook are near the top of my wishlist.
You gotta cool it with the ALL CAPS thread titles though.

Yeah, I like Keller, but it kind of bothers me that he's so short for a TE. In my ideal offense, I like to have a big fast tight end (or receiver) running down the seam constantly. I assume the same goes for Cutler, since that's what they tried with Davis this year. With Keller, you're not attacking the seam so much as taking advantage of his intermediate quickness in matchups vs. linebackers. I'd be more than happy with him, just not really my ideal TE.

I can't believe I'm typing this but Even a Kyle Rudolph type would be fine. Someone that can score in the Redzone would turn this offense around quickly.

Re: JERMICHAEL FINLEY , IS HE WORTH IT ????
I would sign Finley in a heartbeat providing we are not throwing the bank at him. He is a big strong target with decent speed for his size. He has proven he can play the game and would make another big target for Jay. Plus when he scores against his old team , PRICELESS.

RE: JERMICHAEL FINLEY , IS HE WORTH IT ????
I just don't think it will be necessary to spend much on a TE. I mean it wont take much to find something better than what we've had in Davis. So Finley is fine so long as he doesn't cost more than so many other viable options.

Is he awesome? I'll take your word since his QB does suck. --------------------------------------------- --- ChiFan24 wrote: Northsiders wrote: I can't believe I'm typing this but Even a Kyle Rudolph type would be fine. Good point but its our biggest weakness on O if you ask me. And our line isn't very good from what I have gathered.

Does the TE even catch the ball in Trestman's offense? And if not, he better adapt fast!

Re: JERMICHAEL FINLEY , IS HE WORTH IT ????
In the CFL, hardly ever from my understanding.
As an OC in the NFL...in 2002 with the Raiders, Rice had 90+ catches...Garner had 90+ also, out of the backfield...Tim Brown had 80+ catches...Porter had 50+ catches as their "deep threat" and as for the TE position, Doug Jolley had the most catches with a whopping 35+.
Of course, that was 11 years ago and hopefully he'll adjust his offense to the new NFL.
