Jim Harbaugh

Posted: 1/20/2013 5:17 PM

Jim Harbaugh

As I stated very early in the year, Jim Harbaugh is the best coach in the NFL hands down. I'm still drooling over the guy.

I know there were many who disagreed with me and some even said Lovie was a better fit for the Bears, but I think that puts it to rest. I'm not trying to start a debate. Just giving credit to Jim Harbaugh. He's done an amazing job EVERYWHERE he's coached.

With that being said, I HATE THOSE DAM NINERS! Hate them with a passion. Let's go Ravens! Or even the Patriots if they win.

Re: Jim Harbaugh

So Jim Harbaugh getting to a Superbowl makes him better than Lovie? I don't follow that logic at all.

I will say I was glad to not have Harbaugh when he acts like a moron after he doesn't get a call. I guess he appeals to the fire and passion crowd.

When Harbaugh goes 10 straight years with 10 wins or more each year and that would have been 12 except he "only" won 9 games one year, then you can talk about his being the best coach.  Until then it is Belichik all the way.

I think they got fortunate in not having to face Pete Carrol, Wilson and the Seahawks again.

Re: Jim Harbaugh

There are a lot of reasons why Harbaugh is a great coach.  The most important one is that he is, hands down, the best quarterback coach in the NFL.  As we all know, the NFL is a QB league, and Harbaugh has made stars out of Josh Johnson at U of San Diego, Andrew Luck at Stanford (here he had a great player to work with), Alex Smith at SF and now, CK at SF.

Lol, great point. It's not even close. A better argument would be for the top 5.

Re: Jim Harbaugh

I think mentioned a few months ago how I wish Lovie was fired a year or two earlier so we could have gotten him. Then there were a few dumba$$es that mocked me!

Re: Jim Harbaugh

I don't know if I argued with you then but is Harbaugh better than Lovie if he loses the Superbowl?

RE: Jim Harbaugh

I think he's the best coach, maybe in all of sports, IMO.  Guy's been amazing everywhere he's been.  Did magic to turn around Alex Smith, but wasn't afraid to make the move and sit him.  Took guts but was willing to go for the ring by playing a raw talent.  I understand he hasn't won a title yet, just my opinion that he's the real deal.

He has done a great job so far. Definitely one of the top coaches ...right now.

But....I think we had this same conversation about Rex Ryan two years ago.

I think you've gotta give a lot of credit to John Harbaugh. Saw that despite winning games, his offense wasn't getting it done so fired the OC, and now they are putting up big numbers.
That's what a good coach should do.
I wonder what other team could have done that ohlord

RE: Jim Harbaugh

You mean like going 18-8 with Cutler and then firing Martz?.

I thought Harbaugh ran the offense from the beginning.

RE: Jim Harbaugh

Are you suggesting that we went 18-8 because of the offense?? I think the D had more to do with the record than the O.
I was specifically talking about this year, where the D had to carry the team again because knucklehead Tice didn't know how to call plays.

This isn't talking about who's the greatest for their careers.  Just a few of our opinions that he's the best coach right now.  Guy stepped right in and has almost taken his team to back-to-back SB's.

If you don't even think hes top 3 you're gravely mistakened. LOL

When you can go on the road upset the #1 team in the nation as 41 point underdogs with a QB making his first start ever then we can talk like he's not there. Name the other four coaches who belong in the conversation. I'll give you that Bellichek is there as maybe the top guy but I don't see anyone else coming close to him.

When you can take a franchise that is supposed to be rebuilding and lead them to the NFC title game in your first season and perhaps 2 muffed punts from a Super Bowl appearance, with a QB who would've likely been out of the league, then we can talk top five. Alex Smith! Dude's career was no better than Joey Harrington's or David Carr's until Harbaugh came along. Then when you can take a first year starting QB and second year player overall and have him lead them to the NFC title, then we can talk about how he's not even top two.

When you can win titles at a school that doesn't give football scholarships like San Diego, then we can talk like he's maybe a top 5 NFL coach.

His track record speaks for itself. Like him or hate him. Dude is one bad A mofo as a coach.
