Game 15 Discussion Thread- Stayin' Alive - W 28-13

Remember when the Cardinals were 4-0 and had beaten the Patriots in Foxboro?  Yeah, neither does anyone else, even Cardinals fans.

Bears will be facing one of only a couple teams that has an offense worse than theirs.  Ryan Lindley hasn't thrown a TD in five straight games, which is epic bad in the modern NFL.  They don't exactly run the ball all that well either.

Then you have the Bears.  Not going to bore you by going into their issues on offense since we all know what those are.  Let's just say betting the under in this game is one of the safest picks you'll make this week with your bookie.

Cardinals actually have a very solid defense.  They were embarrassed in spectacular fashion by the white hot Seahawks a couple weeks back, but overall they can get to the QB and like to blitz.

They are a 3-4, so that is a concern since Cutler doesn't seem to have much success against 3-4 teams.  If the Bears offensive line keeps Cutler upright, I would consider that a major victory.

Bears defense should be able to handle Lindley, and if they don't then they deserve to lose.  But I don't see it being an issue.

As for playoffs, a win today obviously does not guarantee a playoff spot but keeps them alive.  A loss coupled with either A) a Vikings win in Houston (not likely) or B) A Giants win in Baltimore AND a Redskins win in Philly will eliminate them today.

Any way you slice it, they have to win this game.  I think they probably will.  It will probably be an ugly low scoring affair, but as long as the Bears protect the ball they should come out on top.

EDIT:  Just had a laugh out loud moment listening to the Score where a caller suggested we bring in Denny Green as the next Bears head coach.

I remember when the Cardinals were ranked #1 in Dan Pompei's Tribune NFL power rankings (which means nothing). And yes I do have a link:

Another exercise in futility.

I don't take any game for granted. We should have beat the Chiefs last year and we couldn't even do that. Granted that was with Hanie, but that Chiefs team was pretty bad too

That KC game last year was ugly.  I think we win this game, but Mike Tice and our Oline has effectively turned Jay Cutler into Caleb Hanie ove the past 6 weeks in this offense.  So, this could be a repeat of the ugly we saw in that KC game last year.  The difference is we win this one.    I'd like to see a little no huddle, let Jay just call his own plays and let them play ball.

I've been telling my friends for the last year or so that the bears should run no huddle and cutler should just call his own plays. It's a way better option than anything else they can do.

The Cardinals defense has been solid all year, save for that one game in Seattle. They'll come to play. This could easily be a 10-7 type game.

LOL, I say in the original post that the Vikings aren't likely to beat Houston, and then the Texans start sucking and losing.  Go figure.

Texans are horribly uncomfortable when they have to chase a game. They're a score before half time from MN from being in that exact spot.
I did not expect the texans to struggle like this at home vs minn

Rodgers makes that damn seam route to Cobb/Jones/Driver/Finley look just so easy. I wish we could do that. It is 20 yards every single time

Seriously, screw the Houston Texans. I don't care what their record is, I'd pick Denver or New England over them in the AFC postseason picture any day. What a serious embarrassment at home to a wildcard NFC team when chasing the top seed.

True.  But, also true is that if we didn't do what we do best towards the end of the year we wouldn't need their help.  Vikings put it to them from start to finish.

True but frustrating lol. We truly have no one but ourselves to blame but it would be nice to make the playoffs.
