Game 14 Discussion Thread- FUGLY -L 21-13

Don't really have that much to say about this one.  Bears have injuries up and down the roster, and it looks like Clay Matthews will be conveniently returning from injury just in time to face us.

Not having Melton and Tim Jennings against the Pack will hurt big time.  This is one of those games where you know the offense needs to put some points on the board, but I really have zero confidence they will do that given the struggles against Capers' D.

Zach Zaidman mentioned the Bears are averaging a tad over 14 points per game on their current 1-4 slide; only the Cards, Dolphins, and Chiefs have been worse over the last 5 games.

I hate to say it, but I think we all probably know the outcome already.  Hopefully we're competitive and it's not a blowout and embarrassment type game where they hang a big number on the scoreboard.

Not saying a win is impossible, but doesn't seem very likely.

Divisional game... anything can happen.  Sometimes these things get crazy.  I hope our offense scores like madmen!

Hopefully the replacement refs will come out of exile and officiate this game....

But seriously, for some foolish, foolish reason I think the Bears play their first solid game in ages and we win. (But I'm still drunk from last night)

Have Another because I just don't see it, and god I hope I am wrong.

But who knows, maybe Cutler finally steps up against the Pack and gets that monkey off his back. Time to pull out all the stops today.

Yeah im with you on this. A lot of people seem to have the same feeling idio has, i just cant see it. There's not one reason to think it. If our defense were healthy, i would think they have a decent shot. Peppers playing on a bad foot. No Melton or Jennings. Tillman and Briggs beat up. No Shea and idk whats wrong with Paea and i think Izzy is hurting too. May use Costanzo at SLB. What a mess. STs is beat up and Jay gives me zero confidence.

GO BEARS!!!

I'm not expecting a Bears win, however. Our whole defense is hurt and the offense is, well, our offense...they are bottom dwellars in pretty much every offensive category for a reason. Brandon Marshall vs 11 GB defenders...I don't like the odds lol

I'll be cheering and drinking as hard as I do for every game.  I just don't see us pulling this one out, though.  Defense is hurting and our offense has absolutely zero of my confidence after that past 5 games I just watched.

Here's hoping for a Herculian effort and an upset!

Cheers Gents!

If they run the ball and if the oline run blocks even average, then I can see a close win. If they come out passing, I see a complete meltdown coming.

Key will be clock management anytime of possession, and I do not have faith that they can play that way.

Haha. The Countdown crew pretty much just said that Tice doesn't have a clue and questioned if the Bears OL can even block lmao. Pretty much the smartest thing that group's ever said.

Time for Lovie and all the coaches to buck up and earn their paycheck. Don't be stubborn and make the changes. If something works, please don't stop. Hopefully Briggs and Marshall take over, so they can back up their talk. I just hope Bears make it a good game.
