Only 1 game
Only 4 of the past 5. Only just lost to an average at best team. Only another showing of zero offensive production. But hey, I'm just emotional or pessimistic. I'm not a real bears fan.
Another collapse and this time with Cutler. I've defended Lovie in the past. Can't do it anymore. No merit in it. The window is closed and the change is coming.

Big change is coming because best case scenario we are one and done.
Amazing how any of us thought we had a good offseason outside of the Marshall trade.
If we don't address the line it will be the same thing next year too. Minus Urlacher.

Let me first say that . Regardless if it is emotional or pessimistic. you are a real Bears fan . I wouldn't ever question that. Cutler was so sporadic today. Looked great at times , then looked at times looked like complete A$$. That being said, I don't at all put this loss on Lovie. First off , off this idea of players coming out flat being Lovie's fault is complete crap. They are pro athletes. They shouldn't need a coach to have them come out with intensity. He didn't make these mistakes that led to this loss. This loss was 150% on the players today. Again, you stated your opinion and it's JUST as valid. That's mine . Not being a homer either, we looked like crap and don't look like a playoff team TODAY. I am not going to make excuses . We deserved to lose today . Hopefully we can beat Green Bay next week in our final home game of the year.
When in doubt, blame Cutler !

Hopefully Cutler is ok, but it's time to clean house. We won't beat anyone in the playoffs and w/ this offense, we're hopeless. I blame Lovie and Tice for being arrogant enough to think that the OL, K. Davis, and Hester would work out.
The bad news is that the Bears will bring in some loser like Dick Jauron and it won't even matter.
Ugh . . .

Your opinions are valid . Let me first say that . Regardless if it is emotional or pessimistic. you are a real Bears fan . I wouldn't ever question that.

Ugh . . . I don't think Lovie thinks that personally. I think Lovie is planning a overhaul in the offseason to OL. Obviously, we will all believe it when we see it . I also think Cutler is going to push for it as part of his extension.

Oh, we'll take a DT first round, an OL in the 2nd, a safety in the 3rd . . . This year's draft has been abysmal to say the least. Only Jeffery looks like he can play in the NFL. Northsiders wrote: Big change is coming because best case scenario we are one and done.

Please. HOW MANY OC's has Lovie had? How many? We were better on O in 09. Hell, we were better w/out Marshall last year. Lovie has to go. 5 out of 6 years w/ no PO is ENOUGH. outkasted2006 wrote:

The D had one bad drive, that is it. One. Are you going to blame them for scoring when getting the ball at the 5???

The problem is the higher ups keep trying to make this a passing team. This team should be built around the run game...but they keep trying to make us 'the Patriots' or something when we don't have the type of players.
You throw the ball 44 times with Cutler in a game with only a TD between the two teams?
The Oline & the coaching are shot.

As many of you know, I'm a HUGE Lovie Smith supporter, so it truly pains me to say this. But, for 8 seasons now the offense has, to put in bluntly, been a f*cking joke since Lovie became HC. If we want the OC-carousel/offensive problems to go away then sadly, it starts with Lovie Smith.
I'd hate to see Cutler go through yet another OC, but Tice is absolutely brutal and has no business being an NFL offensive coordinator, or even OL coach (YEAH I CHALLENGED HIS O-LINE COACHING). His decision making, along with Lovie's, are the main reason that the OL wasn't addressed yet again, IMHO. Emery should get some of the blame too, but he's getting his info from the HC and OC.
As I see things right now, our window has closed for the defense. Yes, they were dominate for the first half of the season, but you just CANNOT ask your defense to go out there each and every single week, and win football games for you because your offense is pathetic! The consistently good teams in the NFL have balance, PERIOD!!
I think it's high time that the front office seriously looks at this coaching staff and roster and makes the tough decision...a decision that will suck for me personally, because like I said, I'm a Lovie supporter. With Cutler, Marshall and Forte, a rebuild of this team shouldn't be too painful because we can still win games as our GM and new HC put together the necessary pieces needed. Just look at the Colts...new coaching staff, new QB, entirely new defensive scheme and right now they are looking at a playoff run.
The point of this long rant is that it might just be time to cut the cord and let Lovie Smith go.
