There will be weapon regulation
All guns will not be confiscated
The USA will not arm every teacher - student - custodian

Which leaves a choice to "we". Either make real life suggestions or get shut out of the debate.
The way  House (R) has positioned itself  in Bush Tax Cut negotiations

What in the world does that quote have to do with ---- anything?? So. Let me add, early to bed early to rise blah blah blah

57, what is up with all the "we" nonsense? Does "we" have some sort of meeting that can't be used by typing "us"?

yeah really --- Franklins statement was made in 1755 when  we were still under British Rule .  Are we under British Rule again ??? Do we have the Brits placing soldiers in our homes withno say? Are we being taxed with no say in the matter?

1755 --- really?

What are your suggestions moving forward -- take  Benjamen Franklin out of context?
No wonder your ("we") school of thought is fading faster than a cheap wine buzzzzz

Are you aware there is a movement gaining steam to repeal the 2nd Ammendment? Based in the fact it is very vague and actually says 2 contradictory  things in one sentence...

If I were a Pro-Gun proponent I'd consider sending the 2nd Ammendment to Sicily to hide out with Michael Corleone until this all blows over

I'm sure you'd love to see the citizens rights to bear arms go away, but you're in la la land even more than usual if you honestly think the 2nd Amendment is going to be repealed.

Perhaps we should still be having threads over the inaction and lack of attention payed to Columbine -- or hey, the 2010 Tuscon random  killing of a 9 year old girl

yes, we definitely need another thread

Thankfully there was a CCW holder that helped stop the Tuscon shooting.

"

But before we embrace Zamudio's brave intervention as proof of the value of being armed, let's hear the whole story. "I came out of that store, I clicked the safety off, and I was ready," he explained on Fox and Friends.

"I had my hand on my gun. I had it in my jacket pocket here. And I came around the corner like this." Zamudio demonstrated how his shooting hand was wrapped around the weapon, poised to draw and fire. As he rounded the corner, he saw a man holding a gun. "And that's who I at first thought was the shooter," Zamudio recalled. "I told him to 'Drop it, drop it!' "

But the man with the gun wasn't the shooter. He had wrested the gun away from the shooter. "Had you shot that guy, it would have been a big, fat mess," the interviewer pointed out.

Zamudio agreed:

And the CCW holder jumped in to subdue the shooter.  Thankfully, as most CCW holders, he is very bright, knowledgable, and careful.  Like the CCW holder in Oregon that did not shoot bc of the possibility of innocent people behind the shooter being hit.

The Rude Pundit @ rudepundit

Armed cop in every school in America? Yeah, because we certainly wouldn't want our kids living in a police state.

EJ Dionne @ EJDionne

Wayne LaPierre just showed all Americans how extremist # NRA is. Shameful, tone deaf performance should advance the cause of # guncontrol.
