Another Mass Shooting

Another Mass Shooting

At what point do good people stand up to the NRA? And we put a halt to the profiteering of weapons

In many other places, a school shooting is a nation-rattling event. Here, in the US, it's just this week's massacre.

Time of some to start spouting off trash before they even find out what happened.

Tragic event, it's a disgrace you're politicizing it.

In fairness to 57, when he posted it, only 2 adults were announced dead. The 20+ kids dead just got announced 10 minutes ago.

There is no defense, this is a tragedy and everyone's hearts and minds should be with the dead and the children who'll now probably be scarred for the rest of their lives.

How sad and pathetic that people continue to politicize this when the lives of so many people have been shattered. Sometimes I'm embarrassed to be a human being.

It's inevitable...might as well get it over with.

This is not a time to talk about anything to politicize this.  There will be a time to speculate and investigate what caused this tragedy.  But right now, all that needs to be cast aside.  This is simply not the time.

My thoughts and prayers to the victims and the families as well as the community of Newtown, Connecticut.  Just unbelievable.

I guess 57 feels like it's a perfect time for him to push his agenda. That's a disgrace.

This is crazy. My kids aren't in school yet, but it would certainly make me concerned. Can't begin to imagine what could cause someone to do this.

This.

I worked at Lockheed Martin which is just down the road from Heath High School when Carneal killed those students during prayer.

I never seen such chaos when they announced it over the intercom.  Several of the guys I worked with had children there.  I still remember it today.

I cannot fathom this at all.  What sick mothereffer would do this to kids?

My thoughts and prayers go to the families of kids/teachers, those hurt, killed and the trauma they will have to live with.

One thing I do have a problem with is the media sticking microphones in the faces of the families who are getting their children out of there. Even asking the kids what happened.

Fox News has the identification of the shooter.  He's actually 24 years old, not 20 as previously reported.

Holy cow, the death toll isn't even in, and you're already turning this into a gun control issue?

I agree CC, and it's all to get the saddest family and saddest kid so they get that extra boost in the ratings. I really hate what the "news" has become.

I went out for just a bit.  Turned on the local news talk station.  All you had to do was hear the emotion in President Obama's voice.

RE: Another Mass Shooting

when do you suggest?
Everytime something likes this happens it the same crap ----- \\

I didnt mention politics one time but did condemn the weapon profiteers / sympathetics / cowards and implied the fact someone made money off of this. If that is a political agenda, so be it. There were over 8,700 gun murders in US last year. 57 in Great Britain. Like the writer wrote in the initial posdt -- these gun massacres have  become as common as cancelling a sitcom. In fact if one looks at the Locker Room Forum there is more interest in a stupid TV show than in the past year's gun massacres  And everytime --- EVERYTIME --- the crowd yells -- "don't politicize it now"
Now, is the time to politicize it -- in that it should inspire us to do what we can to see it doesn't happen again. A simple read of the past couple years predicted this ---

Y'all gotta wake up

RE: Another Mass Shooting

Tragic stuff. As a father I don't want to fathom what the families are going thru.

Shame on anyone making this political. This isn't about the NRA, this isn't about gun control. This is about American families who need our love and support.

There will be a time and a place to debate, but please. Not here. Not now.
