Running Record - How will the Braves finish?

If they go 20-5, they'll be 92-70.
If they go 18-7, they'll be 90-72.
If they go 16-9, they'll be 88-74.

If they go 14-11, they'll be 86-76.

If they go 13-12, they'll be 85-77.
If they go 12-13, they'll be 84-78.

If they go 11-14, they'll be 83-79.

If they go 10-15, they'll be 82-80.
If they go 9-16, they'll be 81-81.

They have six games with the Phillies.
They have six games with the Nationals.

They have three games each with the Marlins, Rangers, Mets and four games with the Pirates.

15 of those 25 games are against teams with a losing record. The games against teams with winning records are two of the teams they are battling for a playoff spot - six with the Nationals and four with the Pirates.

What will their record be? I say they'll finish 86-76, so they'll go 14-11 in September.

What say you?

Re: So the Braves have 25 games in September

After watching the last 3 games which were more painful than the losing trip to the west coast, I cant wait til the off season.

Re: So the Braves have 25 games in September

I think there are a lot of Braves fans that can see the reality of this team and are equally anxious for 2015 and the offseason that precedes it.

The Front Office feels your pain and are helpless to set the ship on a better course. Some players have not lived up to their contracts and have played far below their contracts. It always goes back to the players. The players failure to live up to their contracts leaves a black eye on the GM.The GM and Scouts are using Stats and Crystal ball when signing a player before he performs basing everything in what the player has done in the past.

I can name hundreds of players that have performed above their past stats and then I can name Uggla and BJ

The Gm provides the manager with a 40 man roster and 25 he can readily use. It is up to the manager to effectively use the 25 man roster to win as many games as possible.

Fredi kept trotting BJ out their knowing full well that BJs skills gave eroded both offensively and defensively

Shame on you Fredi

This a shame when a nation of millions of amateur fans representing the Braves can see that a player is washed up and you the professional refuse to acknowledge it.

One run in three games? I am not sure what to think of that. I suppose we could actually go 0-25 if that continues, but I am more optimistic and think we can probably at least split these last 24 to finish with 84 wins or so. It's not been a very exciting year this year, has it?

Re: So the Braves have 25 games in September

So the Braves are now 72-67 with 23 games left...

If they go 12-11, they'll be 84-78.
If they go 14-9, they'll be 86-76.
If they go 16-7, they'll be 88-74.
If they go 18-5, they'll be 90-72.

How can this group go much over the .500 mark? I think they'll be around 85 wins, and that won't get then into anything in October.

Re: So the Braves have 25 games in September

I said on August 2nd (posted on this forum) that the Braves would be 5 1/2 games back on August 30th.  This was after going 0 - 4 during that West Coast debacle.  Well, I was optimistic, they ended the month 7 games back.  I'll give the Nats some of the credit, but this coming road trip is make or break.  They need to win 18 games in September and do some serious damage in their series with the Nats.  That being said, I think 14 - 11 is about right.

September 5th....Braves at the bottom of the NL East for September.  Road trip started with a blowout in Miami.  I don't see a post season this year happening at all.  On to football.

2-3 now. I am hoping we can limp along and get that 82nd win, at least.
