Quote from Justin Upton

Quote from Justin Upton

“I hit a ground ball to second base and then ran to first base,” Upton said. “Just another play in the game.”

Why did this guy play last night, a night after his lollygagging to second base and after his manager supposedly was going to mention to him that was not the way they played baseball? Why is he playing tonight after that moronic comment?

And we're wondering what's wrong with this team? I think we're finding out. That quote would piss me off if I was the manager.

Just another reason I think Upton will not be a Brave next year.

Ive asked this question before but perhaps you can answer as you are nearer the flagpole than most:  Ive read that there are some huge egos in the clubhouse.  Headed by the Upton brothers, Chris Johnson and Minor.  Can you confirm or refute please.

Maybe FW can find some team dumb enough to take both Uptons. Sad thing is FW is probably too dumb to trade them if he had the chance to.

Yes. There are HUGE egos in that clubhouse. They all have big egos, maybe except Gattis. The starting lineup, though, if full of huge egos.

I think Fredi is a decent manager but this team needs a Jim Leyland type at this point

Re: Quote from Justin Upton

To me, this team has had more than a few prima dona's over the years, but BC knew how to manage them.  When they came to work...that's what they did..>WORK!  The body language, the ho-hum approach by more than half the starting line up is enough to make fans NOT like this collective group of underachievers.
Just because we fall from a different tree.....
Doesn't mean we're not created equally.......
