I want to see Schafer in there every day with Heyward out, prefereably leading off.

I'll be at the game. It will at least be warmer than last night.

Does anyone know anything about this Chatwood fellow? I don't think I've ever heard of him.

Tyler Chatwood, #32 RHP
0-0, -.-- ERA, 0 SO
Chatwood went 1-0 with a 1.84 ERA in three starts at Triple-A Colorado Springs and stayed in the strike zone. The Rockies are hoping he can calm the bats of the Braves, who hit six homers in Tuesday's doubleheader.

RE: Braves at Rockies

Chatwood had some promise coming up through the Angels system but he just failed to develop his secondary offerings. He can throw the fastball in the low to mid 90's with average movement. This is the type of pitcher the Braves should hammer.

Pena is getting a lot of burn by Freddie. He is doing a solid job getting bench players time this year. The injuries helped for sure but Freddie is doing a good job.

Has Justin had a day off yet this year?

Chatwood has started once against the Braves and got roughed up...3 innings, 3 hits, 5 walks, 6 runs, 5 earned.

Last year he went 5-6 with a 5.43 ERA.  At home he was 4-2 with a 4.94 ERA.

Zues doesn't need a day off...he's literally 90% of our offense...

Re: Braves at Rockies

I would sit BJ after he played two games yesturday and an early start today.  But BJ hit a homer late, so maybe Freddie wants to see if he can build on that.

Pena seems very Freddie, but it's nit picking and we're 15-5.  So it's working.

With Pastor up, I'd like to play him, but I'm glad they aren't trying to play him at SS.

Guy named Evan Gattis has attributed to about 15% of that offense as well!

Its been Upton/Gattis/3B platoon

Fredddie was quoted as saying he liked what he has seen from BJ the last couple of days. Probably wants to keep him going.

I wish Pastor would have gotten the start at 2B.

Should just bat justin leadoff since no one gets on base in front of him anyways.

Simmons has a couple hits last night and we sit him the next day?  Not really sure that's what I would do when a player has been slumping.

The information below is from today's MLB TV Game notes. Looks like he is much improved over what he was last year. So hopefully the Braves light him up.

(15-5)
Atlanta vs. Colorado

ATL Radio: 680 AM/93.7 FM, WNNX 100.5 | ATL TV: SPSO
COL Radio: KOA 850, KNRV 1150 | COL TV: ROOT SPORTS, ROOT SPORTS

(13-7)

Tim Hudson, #15 RHP
2-1, 4.50 ERA, 15 SO
After allowing six runs in four-plus innings against the Pirates on Friday, Hudson will be making his second attempt to notch his 200th win. He is 0-2 with a 8.04 ERA in five career starts at Coors Field.

Tyler Chatwood, #32 RHP
0-0, -.-- ERA, 0 SO

Freddie is just trying to get Pena in there as much as possible. Honestly, how can you blame him at this point. Simmons will still start 95% of the games he is healthy.
