Gives us a platoon at third...for now. Still have pieces to go after Headley, mid or off season.
Also, looks like we would still have decent amount of $ left in budget for another acquisition to solidify bench or make mid-season trade.

Ok so the salaries are close to a wash. What do we do with the 12 mill we have left? Gonna miss Prado but our outfield is nasty!!!!!

No platoon at 3rd as Johnson is terrible against LHP (even as a RH hitter). .298 OBP and .678 OPS vs LHP over the past 3 yrs. He is .326 OBP and .783 OPS over that same span vs RHP.

I would have preferred not trading Prado as well, but it does leave the Braves with more $ to spend. Didn't have to trade Teheran, Gattis or Graham.
I'll miss Prado, and wouldn't be surprised if he bit the Braves in the butt a couple times the season

That is a line-up deep with talent. Missing the ideal lead-off man, but run producers all over the place.
Johnson isn't just a throw in piece. He is cheap, and is an average to above average 3B.
