They really want a SS and we are not trading Simmons. Maybe a 3 way with Cleveland so they can net Cabrera..

If they want Ahmed and some of our pitching then thats fine. There is no way you trade Simmons.

They def wanna play together and maybe that was something Wren told BJ was that they had had some discussions with Arizona about Justin. I really hope their high on Ahmed bc I really like Simmons. If we could get Upton without giving up Simmons then we would have maybe the best team in baseball.
I only support gay marriage if BOTH chicks are hot.

Yea, but I think Arizona knows all of that. If they are going to part with their best player, they are going to want our best shortstop, who happens to be a top 5 defensive SS and 2 years younger than Upton. Unfortunately, there is no way Arizona will consider sending us Upton unless we unload Simmons. But if they do, I'll buy everyone on this board Margaritas

And Lock that would probably be our best bet. A 3 way trade with Cleveland would probably work.

I like this offer, but they will want more. I'd toss in Gattis or someone else to make it more enticing.
Hanson, Teheran, Ahmed and Gattis would maybe do it?
Just imagine that lineup:
Prado - 3B (RH)
Heyard - RF (LH)
J. Upton - LF (RH)
Freeman - 1B (LH)
BJ Upton - CF (RH)
McCann - C (LH)
Uggla - 2B (RH)
Simmons - SS (RH)
You could do all sorts of juggling with this lineup, depending on who's hot and who's pitching. You have 7 out of 8 that would be reasonable big-league 3-hole or 4-hole hitters (except for Simmons) on any given day.

If Im Wren, it would be difficult for me not to hear the Uptons say that and not go out and get Justin. Easier said than done of course, but I would be calling Towers now to get something started. If Im Towers or a D-Backs fan, I would say go ahead and trade the guy. Just a matter of time before Justin re-unites with BJ anyway.
