Can one of the locals compare Terrel deRouen and Tim Jacobs? Are either WAC level players?

Terrel is a true PG. He is a definite mid-major player and would do very well in the WAC and other mid-major conferences.

What about Jacobs? My impression is that they are similar players, but I have little info to base that on.

Can a column be added that shows which major colleges are recruiting the same recruits for the Aggie Prospects/Verbals/Signed?

Notice how all that info is on rivals and nothing is listed on the prospects for Scout? Scout sucks.

RE: Basketball Recruit List. (Updated 3/1/12)
The most pressing need is for a juco point guard to back up Ross-Miller. If not a juco PG then a frosh PG who is ready to play. I remember a juco PG considering NMSU and a Canadian who was a friend of current NMSU players?

I remember a juco PG considering NMSU and a Canadian who was a friend of current NMSU players? We get it. You hate DeRouen. Did he steal your girlfriend in high school or something? IMO DeRouen is a more than adequate back up at point guard. I also thought D.J. Lewis did not look to bad as well. We should actually be stacked for next year if everybody works hard this offseason although I am worried that Coach Menzies is going to sulk during the offseason because of money issues. Here is my lineup for next year> Nephawe-Starting Center Bullar-Backup Tyrone Watson-Starting Forward B.J. West-Backup Banja Sy-Starting Forward Renaldo Dixon-Backup K.C. Ross-Miller-Starting Point Guard Terrel DeRouen-Backup D.J. Lewis Daniel Mullings-Starting Off Guard Remi Berry-backup Eric Weary-backup

Re: Basketball Recruit List. (Updated 3/1/12)
I personally really like De Rouen but I have to agree it might be in the Aggies best interest to sign a point guard. Terrel showed that he is more than capable but he suffered a very serious injury and may not be 100% from day 1. Another interesting point might be that if Mullings has the ability to play point then it might be better to try and sign a 4 to help with depth down low.

RE: Per Justintime52's request...A basketball recruiting list.
He appeared to be part of a package deal with Joe Boyd. Now that Boyd is going to Drake, I doubt Esposito is coming here. However, until I read otherwise I have him listed as a verbal commit (and so does ESPN). Also, it has been rumored on the crimsontothecore board that Jim Coleman may choose to go elsewhere. UTSA was mentioned as a possibility. So, until spring signing day, the only player that is probably a sure thing to be at NMSU next season is Ian Baker (who is already attending classes). Matthew Taylor made an "official" verbal commit to NMSU (on his twitter and his prep school site) so, there is a likelyhood he will sign here in April. The rest of the verbals, Jim Coleman, Pascal Pierre Siakam, and Jalyn Pennie will just have to be a "wait and see".
