Not really concerned.... (1 vote)
Another Typical slow start to the season for Men's Hoops. while I was upset the Aggies gave up another game they "had in hand". I found myself not really concerned. NMSU was clearly the more talented team last night. It is just going to take far more than 7 games for these guys to become a cohesive unit. KCRM seems to be getting better with each game, remeber this guy hasn't played competive ball in almost 2 years. I am still mind-boggled that Remi Berry is a bottom bench dweller now, but I guess "it is what it is". I guess his talent was severly over-estimated. Marvin will have this team clicking come February. "Just a matter of time"

RE: Not really concerned....
The good teams click in the first game. What are off-season workouts for? Practices? I agree it's a process, but learning how to win early in the season goes a long way in winning more in February and March. Yes I know it's the storming, forming, norming... model, but losing a game we all but had is unacceptable IMHO. As with other areas within NMSU, mediocrity has become the norm. 15-17 record but we win the WAC(K) tourney! Whoopy! All in all I agree the team will get better, just hate losing to UTEP and UNM.
Go NM State!

RE: Not really concerned....
Not concerned, but disappointed. These slow starts are killer for attendance and overall fan enthusiasm. While I certainly have hope that Marvin's squad will come around and get better come conference tournament time (especially in this watered down WAC), I think many fans long for a season that is consistent from start to finish. Other squads seem to be able to do it...why not ours?
Despite it all, as always....unwavering. Go Aggies!

what would u prefer that we lose the wac tourney as well?? guess what toddler, winning the tourney and being one of the 64 teams is something to go "whoopy" about. just stick to sharing one of your heartwarming stories about how one time u shared a laugh with an aggie :) kieshbecrimson wrote: The good teams click in the first game. As always redeye thanks for putting me in my place, you da man! You're contribution to the discussion is mind blowing.
Anyhow, yes making the dance is great and I was pumped last year. I also would be just as ecstatic if they make it this year. However, as stated above, these early games effect attendance and general fan enthusiasm.
Go NM State!

'One time shared a laugh with an Aggie', yup sure did. Share a few laughs with Aggies on a regular basis. See Aggies in class, drink a round or two with Aggies as well. I'm an Aggie myself, thought we all were. Are you an Aggie?
You're right h8r, it is difficult being Crimson.
Go NM State!

RE: Not really concerned....
Agreed driver. December could be a tough month for Aggie fans, as we face Alford twice. A top #25 team that may run us out of our own gym.
I feel our only chance may be to grind it out, and keep the score in the low #60's.
Go NM State!

haha im not mad kid but u certainly sound a lil hurt cuz u know the truth when u read it, ur a two faced lil boy and u would never dream about talking crap to your aggie friends face to face like u do on here. anonymity is nice and safe isnt it?
since im your new life coach heres your first lesson: dont talk $@!! under the safety of anonymity unless u would say it to their face. second lesson is buy some big boy pants and a belt cuz i know u cant fit into them. --------------------------------------------- --- kieshbecrimson wrote:

no u still cant have my number mr. light in the loafers. u trying to downplay getting into the NCAA tourney does not even merit a response. --------------------------------------------- --- Jdriver wrote: redeyedaggie wrote: what would u prefer that we lose the wac tourney as well?? guess what toddler, winning the tourney and being one of the 64 teams is something to go "whoopy" about.
