Aggie Basketball versus Oregon State
The Aggies take the floor versus the Beavers in about 45 minutes and I am very excited for the game to start.
Can't wait to see our Aggies in a real game against a real team. I have the gatorade ready, the pretzels in the bowl, and the TV already warming up. I may make it a simulcast with Nixon on the radio if it works out.
I look for Mullings to play well, Bandja to score 17 or more, and Chili to control the boards. Weary Jr. from New Orleans may just be the difference maker this early in the season with some key 3's from downtown tonight in the second half just when we need it most.
I feel that the game will be close and our Aggies will pull it out late. 78 to 73. The good guys.

Mullings still need to work on his ball handling. Also, did they wax the floors before the game? Everybody seem to be sliding around except the Oregon point guard.

Point guard play has been somewhat disappointing so far. Starks is good, but he isnt that good. We are gonna have to come out shooting in the second half to get back in this one.

I like what I see so far.
We have potential, talent, and some good players.
We just need time to gel as a team. Find our rotations and get our best 7 or 8 players defined clearly.
I would like to see Weary Jr. in the game soon and see him get some significant minutes. He is a player from New Orleans and deserves a shot.
Also I would like to see BJ West get some minutes. He is good and needs some PT as Dickie V. would say.
Overall I am very pleased with this years team. We have the players to make a run deep. Menzies just needs to tweak the lineups / rotations / playing time a little and we will be good to go.
I love Sim so far, but why is he out away from the basket? I would never have him out anywhere near the free throw line. But that is a subject for it's own thread.
Yes Aggie Basketball is back. And I am back to watching the second half.

What I believe what we're seeing is a still developing Aggie basketball team playing a quality team under the glare of national TV.
Ball handling continues to be a concern. Aggies attempting to take everything inside, and while drawing fouls, are also getting shots blocked. Sy, or someone else needs to start hitting some jumpers to help open the inside. Big men need to play bigger inside.
Bhullar played his first minutes of Division I basketball.
Aggies should some toughness early, but seemed to lose their mojo after Watson's hard foul. Menzies tried to fire them up by drawing a technical. Aggie's international contingent needs to toughen up!
Everything's falling for Oregon State in the first half and are playing more together and smarter than NMSU. Aggies are not out of this game, but need smarter and more intense play.

Mullins looks good out there excep when he is playing the point where he is having a hard time with ball control. KC needs to create for our bigs, he also looks a little slow on defense. Watson is playing hard. We're still in the game.

we need to temper our expectations for this years bball team, they r still very young and guys like chili who we need to step up this year is still very inexperienced even being a junior. menzies will have us peaking come wac tourney time

I'm frustrated right now because we haven't played well, but then I look and see there is still 10:00 to go and we're down 8. I feel like it could be much worse...

The aggies have no chemistry or sense of space on the floor. We have way to many turnovers and hardly any assists. I was hoping for more from our point guards. They need to get the ball into Chilli but we seem to be playing I can creat my own shot instead of team ball.

Also where are the 3 point shooters that we recruited for the season. Cant make a comeback if you cant knock down a few threes.
