Re: OFFICIAL GAME THREAD: SJSU @ NMSU
Our first possession (we won the toss and chose to receive the opening kickoff) was stopped at around mid-field. Our special teams pinned the Spartans at their 1 yard line after the punt, though.
That didn't stop the Spartans from marching down the field and getting a field goal, though.
3-0 to San Jose State.

Second possession is a three and out after a failed run play and two dropped passes.
SJSU quickly takes advantage with a running TD to go up 10-0.

Third possession and the Aggies get one first down en route to the drive stalling at mid-field.
Third possession for San Jose State stalls after a three and out. Some penalties and loss of yards killed the drive before it started.

Fifth possession (in the 2nd quarter) stalls at midfield.
Fifth possession for the Spartans ends after an interception at our 5 yard line!

RE: OFFICIAL GAME THREAD: SJSU @ NMSU
6th possession for the Aggies ends after Bateman juggles a reception and ends up getting picked off. It would have been returned for a TD, had there been no personal foul penalty. 6th possession for the Spartans ends up as a passing TD. It's now 23-0 Spartans after the XP was missed .

Aggies have no offense. Aggies have no defense. Aggies have no coaching. No speed. Can't tackle. Can't pass. Can't run. Can't put pressure on opposing QB. OH---I FORGOT TO ADD DISCIPLINED. Other than than, Aggies pretty good.

7th Aggie possession has turned into an extended drive that has gone into Spartan territory. The drive is ongoing after another 1st down.
The drive ends on a turnover on downs. Spartans retain it on their own 42 yard line.
7th Spartan possession: one play 58 yard TD reception on a draw.
30-0 Spartans.

RE: OFFICIAL GAME THREAD: SJSU @ NMSU
I've seen some bad Aggie football teams over the years, but this one is right up there.

NMSU cannot afford to fire Walker. The only way NMSU would not have to pay him is if he resigned.

RE: OFFICIAL GAME THREAD: SJSU @ NMSU
9th possession now has Colwell and Tiger Powell (RB) playing this series. They've driven before the end of the half to the 14 yard line (where it's now 2nd and goal).
2nd and goal is incomplete after the pass was tipped.
3rd and goal is short of the goal line by half a yard. Pass completed to Trevor Walls (TE).
4th and goal, and we'll probably go for it. The running play by Colwell is ruled to be short, but the play is under further review.
The ruling on the field stands. Turnover on downs on the inch line.
8th possession for SJSU is near the end of the half. They only have time to move the ball a yard forward.

San Jose State's 9th possession is a two-play, 75 yard drive for a TD. 44-0 Spartans.
New Mexico State's 10th possession and Colwell is still out there with Morrison. The drive stalls at mid-field after we go for 4th and 1. Turned over on downs.
