Fall Camp

Fall Camp

It's good to see the team and coaches keeping the hype to a minimum.
With Ohio State only 3 weeks until k/o, it has to be a good idea.

In the post-practice interviews, I haven't seen Ivin; not even once.
Anyone know if there is a reason or is IJ just shy this year?

Good observation about Ivin, but I suspect its because there are so few questions on O. I'm sure he'll get some face time soon.

In any case, did any of our intrepid bloggers go to the stadium on Saturday? Any reports?

The usual crowd of reprobates was there. Watching the warmups was terribly exciting and seeing the Plebers try to figure out where to line up even moreso. In other words.....not much happened......which was obviously by design. I think the good old days of seeing ones vs ones and two vs twos extensively are gone. If there were OSU scouts in the stands they wasted their plane fare.

I  think you are correct, which is why a couple of reprobates decided to skip  it!tongue

Re: Fall Camp

Even though I do miss Ivin's inputsconfused, the  post-practice interviews are still darn good.
(I am certain now that Ivin is in the "cone of silence"

with his assistants, plotting a magical mix up

and sequence of option plays for 30 Aug!)

The last "posted" depth chart was (is) 19 May.  That's OK!
Known changes so far are not resolute anyway

except for the one "retirement" (that is significant).

So, with an eye on the 19 May depth chart,

and based on the comments by coaches so far,
Navy is doing some significant juggling of athleticism

and talent and also taking notice of

Plebe talent (size and talent).

How sweet can it be to waste the OSU travel funds??!!

The OSU websites and interviews don't even mention Navy.
Are the Buckeyes as good at misdirecting attention as Navy?
No, it is unlikely, because the Bucks are evaluated in such detail by the press.
I'm an Ohio resident and a life-long Ohio State fan,

but as a Navy grad this is a 100% Navy game for me.

Ohio State can still win the Big10 and potentially

a National Championship even if Navy wins this game.

For Navy though, it is just an epic opportunity for a season opener.

One thing is certain:
Ohio State will be a better team after losing to Navy. biggrin

Pipe, looking forward to your wine at the tailgates. It will serve as your penance for skipping out.

We've been in pads about four days. Updated depth coming soon. Not much happened from May 19 to August 1.
