Question about Bills running backs

Question about Bills running backs

Hi All,

I'm a Bears fan, but also a Bills supporter.  Just have a question about your RBs.  It looks like Fred Jackson has been really good this year.  Now that Lynch is back what does that mean for FJ?  Does Lynch have to earn his spot back or is it automatic?  Who do you guys like better of the two?

Thanks!  Good luck this week against the Texans.

Re: Question about Bills running backs

Hey man -

Freddy Jackson played well in his first three starts -- all when Lynch was serving his suspension. FJ had a career day against Tampa Bay in Week 2, and played well against both the Patriots and the Saints.

However, since Marshawn has been back, FJ has had a definite dip in numbers. He hasn't been rushing the ball as much and seems to be having trouble finding the hole. Granted, Buffalo's offensive line is mediocre at best.

Buffalo has made the good decision to sit Roscoe Parrish and use FJ as a punt/kick returner, where he can be extremely deadly.

Don't let his bad numbers of late fool you -- FJ is a solid runner who will see more time this year if Lynch starts to fall off.

Re: Question about Bills running backs

Thanks for the insight, Spencer.   I actually was trying to pick FJ up for fantasy, but lost on waivers.  Oh well...it sounds like until ML (if, that is) slumps, FJ wouldn't be the #1 guy.

Anyways, I always look at the Bills as my #2 team (if that's possible confused plus I live in Seattle - but screw the Hawks)  I just kind of identify with your fans and your club.  Hard luck, smash mouth, die hard.  Go bears and go bills.
