Let's not bring politics and Obama into this...bottom line is that the military is necessary whether you agree or not.  It's like having locks on your home, you wish you didn't have to have them but you know they are necessary.
As all good soldiers know, the goal of all military soldiers is to obtain the objective with NO losses. If we could always obtain this we would be blessed.  To limit our ability to effectively conduct military operations will only increase the chances for higher losses.  It isn't bringing soldiers home now that scares me, it reducing our fighting forces when we know future conflict is undeniable.  We should reflect on what happened to the initial battalions in the Korean War!  This could be our future children....

Our government is wasteful and there are numerous opportunities for savings.  It always amazes me when all politicians threaten to cut the most essential functions before eliminating the luxuries.  If we are all honest, we should look hard and rationally at what our government "spends" money on.  I'm sure that we will find many other opportunities before we sacrifice out security.
