Re: Spring Roster is up
Corey Watts (Zach's brother) is shown, but I think his eligibility ran out. He was on a PL squad for a year before going to MAPS...if memory serves. The big discrepancy is that Ryan Powis isn't there. Let's hope it's a mistake.

Maybe Powis had minor surgery and must sit out spring. Would...
be enormous loss otherwise.

His five year clock began ticking in 2008 at Lafayette. He played in one game as a true freshman that year. FWIW, the roster might be automated -- take last year's roster, remove those listed as seniors in 2012, "promote" class standing of everyone else. I haven't examined it for position changes, but did not that Gino DeBartolo is still listed as a QB. ( Watts' Lafayette bio has been automatically "promoted" through the years: http://www.goleopards.com/spor...ts_corey00.html )
Expect that this adventure is going to be difficult. It is going to be hard. And expect to win.

Re: Spring Roster is up
I see some position chgs. For one, Luke Proulx, a plebe RB, is now a DB. One or two others I noticed as well. I almost had a heart attack when Dixon wasn't listed w/FB's, but he is shown as a RB. Maples is the only listed SB. All the other returnees are RB's. I went thru all those who played a year ago, if only in a game or two up to and thru the Temple clash. All underclassmen are reflected on the roster save Mr. Powis. Hopefully, it's an oversight, else we'll probably see him pop up on an FCS squad next year. I can't see him forfeiting a yr of eligibility by going FBS.

Bit of wishful thinking on my part. Powis would be a huge loss.

Noticed coach listed for MLB but not for rover or whip. Maybe...
whips work with the DLine coach and rovers with the DB coach.

Was able to reach Sal. The error was corrected. Powis is still on the team and playing this spring.

Re: Spring Roster is up
I'm alrady tired of this early spring poractice schedule. 4 of our starters are ALRADY OUT of spring ball due to injuries sustained from LAST SEASON games. This early start stinks. You would think RE would give these guys another 4-5 weeks to heal and get them out for some experience and learning as late as possible when the actual spring arrives like everybody else does. There is no reason why most players can't suit up for spring drills unless their injuries are really serious. To have four or more potential starters on the shelf in these early drills is ridiculous. Why hold spring drills anyway because of it? No wonder the team looks unprepared for our first game each season. Even our scheduling appears to be the same old, same old. I'm telling you one thing, if RE does not wake up and change a few things (including spring dril scheduling) we are going to have the exact same season we had a year ago. I don't like it.

Re: Spring Roster is up
He will probably keep Schurr on the sideline too for fear of him getting hurt for the fall. Geez!

Re: Noticed coach listed for MLB but not for rover or whip.
Well, that's a good thing. It seems to me RE is more than willing to hold out ANYBODY in the spring even if its only an ingrown toenail!
Get 'em the hell out there and work 'em! I'm tired of all this minor coddling.
Then when the season starts, the whole team is unprepared and soft and when we get hit then, we fumble." What the hell is goin' on out there??' as Lombardi said a long time ago.

Next order of business should be GAS adding correct weights...
at the end of spring practice, and again when preseason camp begins.GAS was really fine last year filing spring practice and preseason reports but remained recalcitrant in updating weights.

Re: Spring Roster is up
It appears they have bumped them all one class. Eg. we shouldn't see any seniors on the roster and we do. We should see some plebes and we don't.
It's just names in order to check a box. "Publish roster" Check". So, all info has suspect currency IMO

Agree Bull75
Furthermore, elsewhere it was suggested negative comments here may hurt recruiting.
How about trying to give the impression that your "organization" is on the ball, values accuracy and doing a good job. Not some slipshod bunch of losers that can't even keep track of who is on their own team. You know: the kind of folks who won't let your kid slip through the cracks some where. Maybe that would help recruiting.
