This'll cheer up Rab. ND's Manti Te'o invented whole story...
of his purported sick girlfriend at Stanford. Media types are asking if ND coaches, the AD or others knew the story to be false. Scandal brewing. Had Te'o won Heisman he'd probably be forced to return it in view of the hoax.

said tonight Te'o is either ''dangerously naive,'' deceptive or delusional and he ruled out delusional.
If NFL teams are afraid he's unstable and he slides well down the draft order, he's cost himself lots of money.

May I also deduce that the whole Notre Dame Football program is naive, deceptive and dllusional? Nah! I can't say that. But gee, I just did!!  No more" Echo Wakening". The Echoes are all dead!! I love it! I love it! I love it!  Somebody on this forum said that the football program at Notre Dame was a fraud because they got whipped so bad by Alabama in the BCS title game. Not really a fraud but may I add the word, DELUSIONAL?  |

If the kid was dumb enough to not know how to use Skype, FaceTime, Instagram, or any of the other applications that could have allowed him to see this girl face-to-face, even over the net, then he's a new level of stupid.
There's no way he didn't now this was BS. I love that the AD is publicly stating Te'o was duped. What does that say about how smart you have to be to get into ND?

The tears eminating from Jack Swarbricks face, the ND athletic director, on the Te'o case in Swarbrick's interview on this hoax shown last night on TV probably were equally shed the same day the very same Swarbrick set up the signage for that Army-Notre Dame travesty a few years back for the Yankee Stadium game. "We need the money for us- all of it. We are a poor school. Please Mr. Steinbrenner , give us the home team signage and give 95% of it to us. Give Army 5% and 500 tickets. Thats enough for an inferior product , like Army, who dares to play us the Mighty Notre Dame. Give us a great pep rally too with the NYC mayor so we can treat the subway alumni and all good people a really swell time that weekend.  ". I'm sure those tears were flowing that day too.We dserve it. After all college football needs us more that ND needs college football!! because we ARE Notre Dame." Geez, a French sounding school (Notre Dame du Lac) called the Fighting Irish! My Lord! No wonder why Manti Te'o is confused after 5 years of that kind of indoctrination or shall I dare to say, brainwashing? |

Whatever the outcome of this affair, it's in pretty poor taste to revel in the misery IMO.
Criticism is fine; gloating seems a bit over the top.
