Barry, it'd be incredible if Tim Stowers ever had a chance to coach vs. Wisconsin. barrynGA wrote: Friday at 8:00 PM on ESPN2, Georgia Southern & North Dakota State square off for a trip to the FCS National Championship Game....

Re: It will be interesting to see....
How Ga Southern will play tonight against NDSU. The Bison beat the Eagles up last year in the playoffs 35-7 I believe.....
NDSU played Wofford, another option team last week and beat them. GSU has their work cut out for them for sure. Talk about a coaching challenge......
This is exactly what the detractors of the 3/0 offense point out as the major shortfall of this offense, familiarity on defense breeds success. We may all learn something watching this game tonight or maybe not....
Nobody runs the 3/0 better than GSU so I guess we'll see....

Re: Good game....
I enjoyed that game even though I wanted GSU to win. Both teams are really good and GSU made some mistakes and lost a winnable game to the defending National Champions. Last year the Bison ripped them so it showed real progress from last year to last night.....
That stadium/dome looks like a real snakepit to play in, NDSU has some rabid fans. Some may not agree but I think that GSU runs the option really well and they run it with a lot of confidence. I liked seeing them line up in a straight up Wishbone in some situations, shades of the old days at Army, and it still works.....
FCS is good football and fun to watch and really should get more attention than it does. The top ten teams in that division are just flat out good....

Re: Nevada vs. Arizona
Another great option game.
Yes, in the 21st century, you can run the option out of the shotgun and pistol.
Talk about innovation. How I would love a Chris Auldt disciple coaching at West Point.

Re: Nevada vs. Arizona
Why we don't use the shotgun to maximize our QBs extra time to assay the field. Steelman under center always was running for his life most times and running while attempting to throw. He never set his feet much in four years which tended his passing to be either short or over the receivers head or a mile wide of his target. Planting his feet then throwing would have improved his passing no matter how little he even used it.

Re: Good game....
Yes, the football season is almost over. We better start enjoying some football before its done especially since we didn't enjoy the game much with a 2 win season. It was mostly misery.
