Temple returned to real NCAA Div1 football today, facing... 

Syracuse which has coaches who get it and players of appropriate size, so Temple lost 38-20, and RB Harris gained a respectable 105 yards on 21 carries. Harris and the Owls must have been shocked to find they had to work hard for their yardage and not find enormous, gaping holes in the Orange defense.

The same mighty Wake forest team that beat us by 12?

The same mighty Wake Forest team who has only beaten liberty, Army, a bad BC team, and an uninspired UNC team who gave up 68 last week?

Liberty, Army, Wake, BC, Army, Stony Brook, etc. all have something in common.  They are appropriately lumped as just about even teams, which is incredibly alarming if I'm Boo Coorigan.

Wake has at least had great years under Jim Grobe. They'll turn it around. But Army? One good year in the last 15...? Liberty? Stony Brook? A Bludgeoning by Temple?

Disparaging anyone's teams at this point. Much less teams that beat us.....

Big article in last weeks NYT about Liberty building a first class football program and they are well on the way. They want to be the Notre Dame/BYU of the Evangelicals and they may just get there.....

Oh for Heaven's sakes. We couldn't beat ANY of those teams you guys just mentioned.
We are sadly, that bad. frownfrown
Our defense this season just makes us so overall.

I thought Army was Evangelical too.
I know I pray a helluva lot for an Army win every Saturday morning.
Even the team when it enters the field to start a game, kneels in the end zone, for I assume, praying too for a win.
With our 2-9 log, they might not be praying tho.
I think they may be looking for worms to go fishin' on sunday.

(OK, OK, its artificial turf. I know that!!biggrinbiggrin )
