Is there a way to mark individual threads as read?  Clearly, it is easy to mark all as read. But, I can't seem to find a way to mark individual threads as read if I read my way through less than all the threads.

The best fix for this would be for the accessed thread to assume a different color but...

This has been discussed many times.  In short, the way AJAX  (forum software) works, viewing a post doesn't put that URL in the browser's history, so there's no way for the browser to know it should display the link in a different color. With the rapid rise of AJAX development this is a hot topic in the development community and an issue known to the browser makers, and it's expected this will be addressed in future browser versions.

In short, hang in there we hope for an answer to this in the near future.
