Prep School Players

Prep School Players

Lots of conversation about talent level and next years offense.  Has anyone scouted talent on the prep school squad for talent that would help with 2013 objectives for the TO on offense or on defense?

I think it's too early to project the talent, mainly because we don't know who will still be here in August 2013.  The P can be a big ego breaker to a young man who has been told the last several years in high school that they walk on water.  If previous years are any marker, there will be attrition.  We will just have to wait to see who's here in August.

Thanks for the feedback on that.  Would coaches be able to assess any P school talent during spring drills or would they have to wait until the fall to see who is still there?  Also, with all of the unknowns, and some of the misfortunes with expected returning talent prior to last fall, would coach TC have time to implement some of the changes or tweaks to the offense that many are speaking about now?  I mean this may be a yearly adjustment for him that he is prepared for but, just me thinking out loud, it would seem that this would be more challenging for SAs considering the unknowns.

Pro,

P-School players have no participation in spring ball with the Falcons. If they get to the Hill this summer as incoming Fr cadets they will start to get their first interaction with the Falcon coaching staff and at the end of basic training will start to practice with the team.

No problem and glad you are here supporting the Falcons! One advantage the P School players have is that they enter the program with some maturity and a better understanding of the system.  If they can recover qucikly from the physical challenges of basic cadet training, they can have (no always) a better opportunity of earning a spot on the 3 deep roster especially if they are competing at a critical need position.  I see the critical need positions being primarily on D and at damn near every position.
