Warning... Going to Vent a Bit

Warning... Going to Vent a Bit

Keep your stupid, party uniforms in the closet... Concentrate on fundamentals and leave the uniforms alone.  Honestly, the team appears all hat and no cattle... More concerned with looking good than playing well.

Indoor practice facility, new weight room/training facility... It ain't working.  We were much tougher when we practiced in the wind and snow, and lifted with the other cadets.

You want to win at this level, you have to be able to throw it... At least a few times.  Hawaii doesn't count.  They were worse than horrible.  My goodness, what happened to the unpredictability of our offense?

Don't know what they're feeding the team, but they need more of it.  We look small and undersized at every position.

Hey coach... Good move alienating the media... Instead of little coverage, we get zero coverage... Oh wait... Maybe we don't want any media coverage with the way we're playing.

There's more, but I'm going to walk away for now... I'm just so disappointed and upset.

Game pretty much summed up the season.  Defense can't stop a backup QB from launching punts most of the time.  And the offense has disappeared for the last half of the season with the exception of Nevada.

6-7 is probably where this team should have ended up but at some point AFA needs to get serious about competing at the FBS level or just go FCS.

Re: Warning... Going to Vent a Bit

Uniforms and practice facilities aren't the problem.  My biggest concern is that TC keeps saying we are in a rebuilding year.  He has been the HC for 5 years now.  These are all of his recruits and we can't seem to find anyone over 5'8".  I have seen a complete lack of preparedness and execution on both sides of the ball.  We can't stop anyone and we cannot seem to come up with any type of offense except going for it on 4th down and giving the ball to the opponent with good field position.  If you ask me, this year is a coaching problem and a personnel problem - which is also a coaching problem.  Do we recruit defensive players at all or do we just go after small, quick QB hybrids? Navy, Army, and Rice can find big smart guys - why can't we?

Outscored 26-0 in the 2nd half! Coach, your team is SOFT!!!!!!

5'8" CB against a 6'5" receiver with no adjustment is a recipe for disaster.

Clearly one of the most embarrassing losses for the TC era. This game sucked in every phase!!!!!

Program in a serious decline but does anyone want to admit it? We are clearly losing the recruiting war.

10 graduates in the coaching staff. It's not a staff it's a frat house!

Staff changes need to be made. None will be.

Decline began years ago with the loss of Spetman and the hiring of Mueh.

Falcon Hockey is the consistent Big Man on campus!

Time for TC to go.

AFA football crowds are embarrassingly small & TC's personality and treatment of the media, certainly has chased away thousands of AFA fans and season ticket holders.

TC now is proving that his coaches and recruits are the reason that this program is declining

Mueh IS NOT the problem. Just ask him he'll tell you so. After all he hired TC the WunderCoach. This loss was catastrophic in every phase. Program and athletic department need a complete "power washing"!

Re: Warning... Going to Vent a Bit

The morning after, and I'm a bit calmer and rational.
It's not the coach, well; it's sort of about the coach... It's the
players.  We just didn't have enough good ones this year.

TC never had any reservation to throw the ball... There has to be a reason why
our passing game went out the window this year... I'll bet it's because we
weren't very good at it.

Speedy, talented defensive backs are as valuable as big uglies holding the
line, and scary LBs that can seal a hole.  If a team is weak in any area,
they have a major problem... This year we were weak at 2.5 out of the three.

Another thing... The overall talent in FBS football keeps improving.
There are very few FBS walk-overs left... Every team is bigger and often
quicker than us... It's just tough to win at this level.

So, at the end of the day, I'm filing this year away and hoping we have better
players next year that can exploit the whole field on offense, and stop a
bloody nose on defense.
