What Just Happened With These Boards?? Anybody Know???
 Well, I have no idea whatsoever what happened with scout.com. After an absence of several days when it looked like a 15 year old's web design efforts from 1995, now it is back and looks exactly like it did before Fox/MSN/Whoever The Poop They Were "took over". Do any of yinz have any notion what went on with all that? It looked horrible for a few days, then kept routing me to a pay screen, and now all of a sudden it's back like nothing ever happened. THAT was weird. Sangue suggested maybe I had the site bookmarked wrong so there was some kind of malfunction, but I didn't see anyone other than "milfman" posting here for several days (his post said that Dave Littlefield must have taken over the site). I tried to log on to this site from two different computers and got the same results.
Can anyone shed any light on this???

Although the traffic has been sparce (normal for this time of year), I haven't noticed any problems either.

I saw the same thing. I believe the whole Scout network was "upgrading." However, the results were awful and people complained pretty vocally about it on the Inside Carolina (another site I visit on the Scout network) and many more I'm sure. After a couple of days they scrapped the "upgrade" but promised another one would be coming in the next few months. Personally I hope it never comes cause that site took the internet backwards about 15 years. It was really awful.

It absolutely was. It looked like something a buddy of mine did on a TI-85 home computer back in 1985. Except it wasn't even that good.

I usually start at steelerblitz and work my way here. I think that's where the main problem was and their was no link to this board. I'm still looking for the hocky link that left 2 years ago.

I guess that Scout is pretty much the same entity as Fox now. I have Premium Access for Penn State sports on Scout, but they have now been conjoined with Fox. Accessing the new premium board was an absolute abortion last weekend, so the switchover to the new Fox layout is being put on hold until Fox can work out all of the unanticipated bugs it had.
Agree %100 that the new format looked like it was designed at some local High School and that it set the internet back 15 years.
However, it's being called "PROGRESS" ....and we all know that once you have "progress" you can't get rid of it, so the ugly, awkward format isn't gone, it's just on hold.

It was fine if you had your cookies enabled and didn't have to log back in again. If not, then you were sent to the new site. It was horrendous.

Yes. I kept to the old site, but my visit to the new one makes me glad that the entire effort was aborted.
