Coonelly on Hurdle

Joe Starkey asked Pirates president Frank Coonelly today if the plan was to go into next season with Clint Hurdle having only that season left on his contract. Coonelly's response: "Clint’s original contract includes a Club option for 2014. If the Club decides to exercise the Club option or otherwise extend or alter the original contract, we will make a public announcement."

Coonelly brings all the fun of a boring business to baseball.

IF?

Sounds to me like the jury is still deliberating.

Re: Coonelly on Huntington

I assume you meant Hurdle in the subject line. This is a stupid path ifits actually the one they are going to take. You can't have a lame duck manager with what just happened to this team. " All in"would be a joke and I could easily see the situation going the way of Bobby V in Boston.
