I like that the lineup is 8/9ths homegrown.

Nice hitting by Zimmerman. Wow, Citi is empty eek.

Goodness, 21 pitches with 3 hits and a run already. Come on Pelf.

Let's hope Werth grounds into DP.

Pelf has decent stuff tonight.......

but same old...same old

hitters swing.....and put the ball in play

his pitches don't change planes......and he brings very little deception

93/94 fastballs...and mediocre sliders.... won't get it done at this level

Sell low on Pelf, it could get worse.

Nice, I was thinking AT LEAST 2 runs there.

Decent start for Pelfrey, certainly not terrible and did a good job of escaping further damage. Hopefully like Neise he'll harness his control in the following innings.

Had a pretty positive feeling about the Mets off of the weekend, then I see Pelfrey pitching and I want to turn off the TV. I just cannot stand to see him out there, wish they hadn't re-signed him. Hate his style of pitching, seems like he's always climbing Mt Everest. No out pitch.

Let's hope he settles down. 30 pitches in the first, luckily only 1 run.

Winning is the only thing that's going to change this scenario.

Pelfrey needs to use that 4 seamer up in the zone with two strikes.

Question: Which two baseball teams are an Italian's favorite?

On the bright side his velocity seems to be higher than it was last year.

I really like Ruben Tejada.  For a 22 year old, he's certainly entrenched himself as a regular.

Even with the FO, Wright is clearly locked in.
