Imagine Baltimore and Oakland win their divisions and it's Yanks/Rangers in a 1 game playoff...

Re: Around The Majors: Octoberfest and The Playoff Push
A's and astros had the same record on june 1st on 22-31
A's went 69-37 since
18 rookies (looking at the preseason BA top 100 the only contributing members are cespedes and parker). Surprising lots of off the radar rookies stepped up or rookies that were former top 100 prospects but fell off lists (carter, norris)
5 rookies currently in rotation, has lost their top 3 sp's
lead mlb in HR since ASB with 116, 2nd in al runs's since ASB.
2nd lowest payroll in mlb, $100,000 difference with padres.
Among potential playoffs next highest payrolls are orioles and reds who around around $80 mill...around $30 mill difference

It's amazing. And the shame of it is, they're still not drawing at all. Less than 60K total for their weekend series.
Eagles/Indiana/Mets/Villanova: it's a long story

Baltimore's worst nightmare. Boston lies down, while TB plays. Baltimore out of tie for first by the end of the night.

Trout = MVP. And i don't think it should even be close between him and Cabrera. Amazingly, a Triple crown doesn't even approach what Trout did this year offensively and on the basepaths while playing a premium position extremely well.
