Where would we be without Murphy? Probably 10-12 games under. Granderson and Wright have done 0 since the ASB. Might have to start pitching around him..

Murph is pricing himself out of NY (well, Queens anyway) Too many hits.

On Desmond's HR, Darling just got finished telling Gary how deGrom has to learn good pitch selection as a rookie, when he tries to sneak an inside fastball to Desmond for the HR.  Desmond couldn't touch the sliders!  You throw a sloppy one outside and see what happens.  First base was open.  Oh well.

Poor Wilmer.  He hasn't played in 3 or 4 games and he gets a start against Zimmermann.

Wright hittinf 3rd is a joke at this point. Love the guy, feel for his deminished talent, but he's costing us every night. No reason he should be batting 3rd, none.

EYJR should be benched for that garbage. You play once a week, and you are going to loaf your throws.

deGrom and Murphy have the only Mets hits so far. I'm not sure why TC did not put deGrom in the #3 spot in the lineup.

Man...D-Dubya is just killing us right now.  With as hot as Murphy is, David is doing absolutely nothing and he's coming up with a runner on at almost every at bat.   banghead

No way one hit is enough to give Wilmer another start.

In all fairness David did drive Murphy in two games ago.

Couple of great swings there by EYJ. Gotta wonder where this team is if DW and Granderson were hitting.

Pretty much. I know you probably weren't looking for a WAR based answer, but DM has been worth about 3 wins so far. The mets are 6 games below .500, so they would be 12 games below with a replacement level second baseman.

Huge out for Edgin. LaRoche lookin' bad on that whiff.

Double switch time, and Familia on.

I know Lagares made the last out, but does it really make sense to to take out your incredible defensive CF in the double-switch in a 3-3 game?
