Looks like they are seeing the ball very well off Arrieta.  MDD, Murphy and Granderson all hit ropes.

No thread till game time?  That would never fly back in the old days.  This team is turning around right before our very eyes (in spite of the Wilpons).  Let's hop on board!

Question: Which two baseball teams are an Italian's favorite?

Answer:  The A's and O's

This dude on the Cubs, Junior Lake, has k'd 38% of his ab's????  WTF?

He still has a decent 250/287/431 line.   Imagine if he cut those guy down by even 5%?

Probably the most efficient inning Wheeler has ever thrown.

Love that tailing fastball to Rizzo....

Froze him

Such a great pitch. Colon's main out pitch to lefties

I'm getting so tired of d'Arnaud. He's so lost out there.

I think (I hope) catcher just take longer to develop as hitters.   Wieters had a sluggish debut, I believe.

He's the ultimate rally killer right now.

He Ks.....pops out...or hits into a DP. So many weak atbats.

He's totally lost....and I'm trying to envision a turnaround......but it's not easy with that approach of his.

It would have shamed him....but I would rather he bunted there for Wheeler.

They COULD let him flounder to get his ABs in,  but with CY an automatic out and Granderson hitting under his weight it's hard to play with this many black holes in the lineup.

It took Devin Mesoraco a couple of years as well.  It took Yadier a long time to get to where he is now.  Catchers who come up and rake right away like Posey and Lucroy are rare.

Another one of those games where they ae getting guys on base every inning, but aren't capitalizing. Need to cash in here.

Bases loaded no outs and CY up. No excuses -do something if you want to play. At least a productive out.

I swear, Chris Young has to be the worst hitter among starting players in the major leagues. How long is it going to go on with this guy? Even a fly ball would have helped there.

And now Duda pops up to short, another non-productive out. The Mets have the dumbest hitters in the majors. That's the Met approach to hitting.
