Who's this Flores kid? Is he any good at shortstop? Any relation to Wilmer Flores the First, the highly touted prospect from days of yore?

Lol can't totally blame Terry considering he's fighting for his job and Tejada has been pretty good of late, but I'd still like to see if Flores can hit ML pitching. Whats more amazing to me is that despite all DW's struggles this year he has not had a game off, pretty bad management IMO. Not saying he needs to be benched or anything obviously, just think maybe it could help him wake up.

C Young not in the lineup despite injuries to EY and Lagares. So much for that dumbass guarantee of playing time. Good thing, too. Play the guys with a future or an ability to help you win. Nothing else makes any sense.

Agreed. I think just giving Murphy a single day off would be an improvement.

Abreu is one of those guys, like Beltran, who will hit until his legs fall off.

I'm not a fan of AL baseball, but I hate the intentional walk of the #8 hitter to get to the pitcher.

Hernandez should be demoted on the spot for letting Colon battle him like that.

The dreaded sig of doom has chosen future hall of famer Jason Heyward as its target.

May the baseball gods have mercy on your soul!

Whoa, den Decker with pure Thievery Corp out there in CF, robbing Howard of a bomb to dead center. Osvaldo would have been proud of that one.

Or Moises Alou, whose legs basically did fall off.

Was just looking at the stats in the Yankee game. Mike Zunino, who was the other highly touted catching prospect last year, isn't hitting for average but is 7HR  / 22RBIs. If memory serves, some people had TDA 1 and Zunino 2 and some had the reverse.

Wasn't he a more highly touted defensive player than Lagares?

I'm not entirely sure Osvaldo makes that catch..  Den Dekker plays a deeper CF and has better hops.

Lagares job is to catch everything in the field of play anyway.

Yes, because he was a star CF in college, while Lagares is a converted SS with only a few years at the position. If MdD ever learns how to hit for average in the bigs, he'll be a fixture in the ASG.  He's probably the better defensive player.

I wouldn't hate to see an outfield with Lagares in RF and den Dekker in CF, mostly to see if Osvaldo could get more 9-3 outs than Bautista.

Flores looked like Tulowitski on that grounder.
