Does anyone know why Baxter is suddenly the one starting in RF vs. right-handed pitching instead of denDekker?  Is denDekker injured?  He has been pinch hitting and coming into games as a defensive replacement.  Are the Mets really giving any thought of retaining Baxter beyond this year?  What is going through Terry Collins' head?

Maybe the Mets feel bad for Baxter, and are trying to get him the last few Big League starts of his Major League career.

It's funny. I didn't think that much of Baxter at the beginning of the season and that opinion hasn't changed. Basically, he can be used as a pinch hitter and get an occasional start. He's not a 4th OF like Collin used him. And, he's not a platoon player. He's a pinch hitter and can be an occasional starter say twice a month. And, he can be used as a defensive replacement for defensively challenged OFers.

The only role he should have is 6th OFer who comes in case of an injury and he.s the 5th OFer.

I don't think anyone expected the Reds to play this poorly over the series.    They may very well be playing on the road for that one game playoff thanks to us.

Though, I have no problem helping Marlon Byrd and the Pirates make the Divisional Series.

Centeno's behind the dish today -- good on him.

Must have been a perfect pitch to handle, and a great throw.....not watching, and presuming it wasn't a pitch out?

Also see that prolific base-stealing threw, Jay Bruce has 2 swipes today.

This is a pretty huge game for the Reds. Good thing TC has his crafty lefties lined up.

Feliciano should retire.

Wow. I dont know how he got out of that.

Feliciano comes in to face two lefties.  Walks Choo on 4 pitches.  Throws a wild pitch to Votto and somehow gets out of the jam with runners on 2nd and 3rd.
